The Evangelical Lutheran Church of England
(ELCE) is a confessional Lutheran synod in the United England
Kingdom. It has congregations in England, Wales and Classification Protestant
Scotland. Orientation Lutheran
The ELCE's oldest congregations date back to 1896, Polity Synodical
and the ELCE itself was founded in 1954. It currently Associations European Lutheran
has 20 congregations and missions,[1] and a seminary, Conference
Westfield House, in Cambridge. Together, there are International Lutheran
about 900 baptized members.[2] Council
The ELCE is a member of the European Lutheran Region Great Britain
Conference and of the International Lutheran Council. Origin 1896 (Oldest congregation)
