DROPS 9-23 by DROPS Design

DROPS jumper with black and white pattern borders in “Alpaca” and “Kid-
Mohair” and skirt in “Alpaca”. Size S - L.

JUMPER:
Size: S/M – M/L.
Materials: DROPS Alpaca from Garnstudio
200-200 g colour no 8903, black
And use DROPS Kid-Mohair from Garnstudio
DROPS 9-23
300-350 g colour no 001, white

DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 2.5 and 3.5 mm - or size needed to
get 17 sts x 23 rows in stocking st with Kid-Mohair on needle size 3.5 mm = 10 x 10
cm.

SKIRT:
Size: S - M – L.
Width: 96 – 102 – 106 cm
If you want a smaller or larger size dec or inc number of sts by 10 (= 4 cm) and dec
or inc the same no of sts in the rib.
Materials: DROPS Alpaca from Garnstudio
200-200-250 g colour no 8903, black

DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 2.5 and 3 mm - or size needed to
get 25 rows in stocking st on needle size 3 mm = width 10 cm.

JUMPER:
Pattern: See diagram. The entire pattern is worked in stocking st.
Pattern body piece: 4-5 repeats of M.1.
Pattern sleeve: 6-5 repeats of M.1
Both: then 4 rows white, M.2, 2 rows white, 1 row black, 2 rows white, 2 rows black, 1 row white, 1 row black, 1
row white, M.3, M.1, 4 rows white, M.4, 1 row white, 1 row black, 2 rows white, 2 rows black, 1 row white, 1 row
black, 2 rows white, M.5, complete piece in M.1
Rib: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.

Body: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle and cut for armholes afterwards. Cast on 176-184 sts
on circular needle size 2.5 mm with white and work 10 cm Rib. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and
continue in pattern – see above - at the same time inc 16-32 sts evenly on first round = 192-216 sts. Remember
the knitting tension! When piece measures 26-28 cm inc 5 sts each side (to be cut for armhole afterwards and not
included in pattern). Cast off all sts when piece measures 56-58 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 44-46 sts on double pointed
needles size 2.5 mm with white and work 8 cm Rib. Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and continue
in pattern – see above - at the same time inc 11-9 sts evenly on first round = 55-55 sts. At the same time inc 2
sts mid under arm a total of 24-24 times on every 4th round for size S/M and on every * 3rd and 4th *round
alternately for size M/L= 103-103 sts. After M.5 piece measures approx 50-48 cm. Now work 2 cm in reverse
stocking st (for sewing sleeve to body piece). Cast off.
Assembly: Insert a marking thread in the middle of the inc sts for armhole. Sew 2 seams on a sewing machine
around the marking thread, 1st seam = ½ st from the MT, 2nd seam = ½ st from the 1st seam. Cut for armholes.
Sew the shoulder seams = 16-19 cm each side. Pick up approx 80 sts round the neck on double pointed needles
size 2.5 mm with white and work 2 cm rib, cast off. Set in sleeves as follows: sew the last row in stocking st on
sleeves to row after machine seam on armhole. Turn jumper inside out and fasten piece in reverse stocking st on
sleeve to body piece.

SKIRT:

Cast on 240-256-266 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with black and work 3 cm rib. Change to needle size 3
mm and continue in stocking st. When piece measures 40 cm (or desired length) work rib, K1/P1, at the same
time dec 10-16-16 sts evenly on first round = 230-240-250 sts. Cast off when rib measures 6 cm. Insert a thin
elastic in the last rib (= waist).
