Description of the restriction
1PH8 motors with brake are not offered for selection in
the STARTER drive wizard.
With the selection of the "Spindle diagnostics" function
module, the maximum motor speed p322 = 0 is set. For
listed motors this value cannot be changed manually
due to write protection.
Without the horizontal scrollbar, you cannot view all
information in the screen form.

Solution for the restriction
You must always select the same motor without brake
(8th position of the MLFB): On induction motors with
MLFB 1PH8xxx-3xxx, you must select 1PH8xxx-1xxx.
On induction motors with MLFB 1PH8xxx-4xxx, you
must select 1PH8xxx-2xxx. The following parameters
must also be adapted manually via the expert list: -
Permissible maximum motor speed with existing
holding brake (p1082) - opening and closing times of the
holding brake (p1216, p1217) - consider the moment of
inertia of the holding brake (additionally to p341 or
p1498). The corresponding values are stored for the
specific types in the Configuration Manual for 1PH8
motors (Chapter Holding brakes). Note: If the brake
moment of inertia should be considered via p341, the
motor must be subsequently registered as p300 = 1
("induction motor (rotary)").
First select the "Spindle diagnostics" function module
and then run through the drive wizard. p322 then shows
the current maximum motor speed value.
If this problem occurs, it can be corrected by restarting
the wizard.
Currently, a manual search is possible via the index or
search function.
Change parameter P180 and then load the project to
the PG. This refreshes the "Online view" and the indices
of the drive data sets are displayed.

Description of the restriction
During a download, supplementary data (user data) is
not loaded to the target system. This also applies to the
storage of data on the CF card. This data is therefore
not stored on the CF card and is not displayed in
STARTER (e.g. in the Comparison dialog).

output in the background that the user does not notice.
Telegrams 700 (SIC) and 701 (SIC) cannot be
configured in the HW Config via SlaveOM and
DeviceOM.
If the G120 is connected via USB and a comparison is
triggered, the connection is terminated. It may then no
longer be possible to go online with the G120 via USB.

target device is then required.
The unit system can be changed offline for every drive
object on the Configuration -> Units page.
Do not select parallel connection in STARTER for the
Motor Modules 6SL3320-1PG2x-xULx.
The message windows open after the conversion are
not visible. They must be brought to the foreground with
ALT +TAB. STARTER can only be operated after these
messages have been acknowledged.
Use PROFIBUS GSD or PROFINET GSD.
The G120 must then be restarted (Power off/on) in
order to go online again.
