Research Report
Goal: To conduct and create a research report related to socio-cultural issue
Role: Group of aspirant Researcher
Audience: Panel and Research adviser.
Situation: The Philippines is currently facing numerous socio-cultural issues, and as an aspirant
researcher you aimed to conduct a research to gather data to find solution on your
chosen specific study.
Product: Research Report
Standard: Your output will be evaluated according to the rubrics: (Organization 25%, Language &
Delivery 25%, Content 25%, Question & Answer 15%, & Timeliness 10%)

Scenario:
(Situation) The Philippines is currently facing numerous socio-cultural issues, and as an aspirant
researcher you aimed to conduct a research to gather data to find solution on your chosen specific
study. (Role) You are group of aspirant Researchers. (Goal) To conduct a research report this is a great
opportunity for you to develop your reasoning and resourcefulness skills. (Product) You will present a
clear research report to the panel and the best research paper will receive certificate of recognition.
(Audience) Your output will be graded by the panel and research advisers. With these following criteria
- Speech introduction, organization/ structure, Clarity with rate of speech/ pacing. (Standard)

I. ORGANIZATION
 The topic under investigation is defined
 Sufficient background information is provided to allow a broad scientific audience (not
just a specialized audience) to understand the questions, methodology, results,
conclusions and significance.
 The talk progresses in a logical order; transitions between sections are clear.

II. DELIVERY AND LANGUAGE


 Speech is clearly enunciated.
 Effectively uses eye contact.
 Volume of speech is appropriate for listeners at the back of the room.

III. CONTENT
 Clearly define the topic and its significance
 Supports the central idea and conclusions with relevant and accurate evidences from
various sources.
 Combines and evaluates existing ideas to form new insights.

IV. VISUAL PRESENTATION


 Slides contain simple declarative/informative titles.
 Text is used sparingly to convey major points; where text is used, it should be brief and
just contain key concepts.
 Font size appropriate for viewers sitting in the back of the room.
