Documentation: Smart
Complaints Web Application
Project Overview
The Smart Complaints Web Application is a system developed to handle and
manage user complaints efficiently. The project utilizes HTML, CSS, JavaScript
for the front-end, and PHP with MySQL for the back-end. As of the latest
update, the structure, database linkage, real-time functionalities, and
functional components have been completed. The pending task is the
finalization of the design phase, primarily focused on color scheme
implementation.

Objectives
The main objectives of the Smart Complaints Web Application are:
- Efficiently record and manage user complaints.
- Facilitate real-time interaction between users and administrators.
- Provide a user-friendly interface for submitting and tracking complaints.

Technologies Used
Front-end
1. HTML: Responsible for the structure and basic layout of the web pages.
2. CSS: Used for styling and presentation, including responsiveness for
different devices.
3. JavaScript: Implemented for client-side interactivity and real-time
features.

Back-end
1. PHP: Manages server-side scripting and interactions with the database.
2. MySQL: The database management system for storing and retrieving
complaint-related information.

Completed Phases

1. Structuring the Application: The foundational HTML structure for different

sections, such as user complaint submission, admin dashboard, complaint
tracking, etc.
2. Database Linkage: Establishment of the MySQL database schema and
integration with PHP for seamless data handling.
3. Real-time Functionality: Implementation of real-time updates, enabling
users and administrators to view complaint status dynamically.
4. Functional Components: Development of the core functionalities like user
authentication, complaint submission, status updates, and reporting.

Remaining Tasks
Design Finalization
The design phase requires attention to implement the colour scheme across
the application. This includes:
- Choosing an appropriate colour palette.
- Applying colours to the various UI elements.
- Ensuring consistency and accessibility in the design.

Conclusion
The Smart Complaints Web Application project has made significant progress,
with the major structural and functional aspects successfully developed and
connected. The pending phase involves finalizing the design by implementing
an appropriate color scheme. The completion of this stage will enhance the
application's visual appeal and ensure a more user-friendly experience.
