Duration: Six months

The PG Program in Complete Passenger Car Design & Product Development

comprises six courses that explore the nuances of vehicle development. You
will learn in detail about concept styling, BIW & plastic trim modelling and
wiring design through CATIA V5. On course completion, you will be a skilled
professional eligible for lucrative job opportunities in automotive and design
engineering domains.

The curriculum of the program focuses on expanding your knowledge in

essential tools like Autodesk Alias, CATIA V5 and Siemens NX CAD that aid in
the design and development of a passenger car. Each course is aligned to the
requirements of your dream job and the industry standards. For a hands-on
learning experience, the course even incorporates several practice projects
based on real-life scenarios.

1. Automotive Sheet Metal Design using

Siemens NX CAD / CATIA V5
The course provides an outline of the Body in White (BIW) component
design factors and regulations while designing the prominent BIW parts

2. Automotive Plastic Design using CATIA V5

A comprehensive course on the design of automobile interior plastic
parts using CATIA V5 considering their manufacturability

3. Automotive Wiring Harness using CATIA V5

Understand wiring harness standards by creating routing for engine and
back door using CATIA V5

4. Automotive Class A surfacing using Alias

Gain profound knowledge of Class A surface creation as per the
industrial requirement and also get experienced with Alias software

5. Automotive Lighting Design using CATIA V5

Learn how to design the tail lamp of a passenger car following the design
regulations with CATIA V5

6. Automotive Seating Design using CATIA V5

Learn the automotive seat design and development process by designing
a seat of an SUV as per the automotive standards with CATIA V5
