B. Vision
“To be a program that excels in language training, linguistics, literature and
translation studies with local-Islam orientation in ASEAN level in 2025”.

C. Missions
1. To administer professional education and training in the fields of English
language and literature based on local culture and wisdom;
2. To enhance the body of knowledge of English language and literature through
academic, scientific and creative endeavors;
3. To disseminate the academic and scientific findings, as well as the creative
innovation through academic activities, scientific publications, trainings and
performances.

ELO 4 Able to communicate in English well and correctly with a level of
achievement equals to score of TOEFL 477;

E. Expected Course Outcome


The course of Speaking for General Communication is to fulfil the language
analyst, literature analyst, and mid-level translator graduate profile with
understanding and responding to standard input on familiar matters of English
spoken language phenomena as the learning outcome.
F. Course Description

This course is provided for sustaining students understanding towards language


uses of familiar matters regularly encountered in home, environment, work,
school, or leisure. It is expected from this course that the students are able to deal
with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an are where language is
spoken.

G. Course Objective
Upon completion of the course, the students are expected to:

1. understand and respond to maint points and standard input on familiar


matters;
2. produce simple connected language on topics which are familiar or of personal
interest;
3. describe and explain experiences, opinions and events;
4. deal with situation likely to arise in daily life (home, school, environment, or
leisure).
