OPPORTUNITIES

Below are some of the opportunities that would be very beneficial for Sylab surgicals ltd.

EQUITY AFIA FOUNDATION

Equity Afia is a network of franchised medical outpatient centers under Equity group foundation.

The owners are beneficiaries of Equity group WINGS TO FLY program. Over the years they have
opened up branches totaling to over 80 branches aimed at promoting access to quality
healthcare all over the country regardless of the location.

Usually the foundation offers Kshs.15m to the owners for each clinic start up, to cover for
construction and medical equipping.

Recently, there is a program by the foundation where its planning on opening up 10 facilities
under direct ownership by the Equity group foundation. We approximate that the funding will
be just about the same, for the previous facilities that are individually owned.

We would like there to be a centralized sourcing of medical equipment, where Sylab surgicals
ltd., would be the sole supplier of all the medical equipment and consumables for all the 10
branches by Equity group foundation.

Medipal medical supplies ltd has worked closely with Equity Afia limited and has supplied, fully
and partially over 62 branches in the country.

The person in charge of this is, Peter Nyagah, General manager Equity Afia Limited

KENYA MEDICAL TRAINING COLLEGE

KMTC is a state corporation under the ministry of health aimed at training and equipping
students with skills and knowledge under various health disciplines.

They have had a maintenance contract that was previously given to Megascope healthcare but
the contract has been suspended. The contract term was 2yrs with a contract price of Kshs.
103,967,951. The service contract covers all KMTC branches countrywide.

Also, there is a contract, MANAGED EQUIPMENT SERVICE PROGRAMME worth Kshs.200m, which
had been previously awarded to the same company, Megascope.

Both of these projects are under Peter K. Tum, health principal secretary.
KEMSA

Sylab surgicals limited has been prequalified in KEMSA. We have information from reliable
sources that there are several medical related contracts that will be expiring by July. We would
like an introduction with the C.E.O so that Sylab stands a chance at working with KEMSA.

We would like a meeting with these decision makers in the 3 institutions and also putting in a
good word for Sylab would go a long way in ensuring that Sylab is in the forefront when the
decision for medical suppliers is made.
