It has been decided that the Nursing Staff of all categories belonging to WBNS/WBGS
Cadre willbe eligible to enjoy the following 27(twenty seven) holidays for the year 2018.

The admissibility of these halidays shall be subjected to the following conditions.
1) Individual nurses who may not however, be allowed to enjoy any of aforesaid
holidays in the interest of public service, will be credited with one days’
compensatory leave for each such holiday.
a) The compensatory leave must be applied for and sanctioned in advance. Failure to
comply with this condition will make @ nurse liable to forfeiture of the benefit of
compensatory leave.
Page 1 of 2b) Persons, who are on any kind of regular leave or on unauthorized leave on the
prescribed holidays, shall not be entitled to compensatory leave in lieu of the said
holidays.
) (i) Compensatory leave earned by a nurse may be availed of in conjunction with off
day/casual leave/admissible holiday, provided that, the total number of days on
which she may be absent on different kinds of leave, off day or holidays taken
together shall not exceed three (3) days, but whom such leave off day etc., are
combined with the Durga Puja Holidays the total period of absence may be extended
up to seven (7) days.
(ii) Compensatory leave so admissible shall not be prefixed or fixed with regular leave
of any kind.
d) The compensatory leave shall be availed of within a period of three (3) months from
the date on which the leave is earned, failing which, the leave so earned shall be
lapse provided, however, if such leave duly applied for, is not granted by the
authorities concerned owing the exigencies of service, the leave shall be availed of
within a period of six (6) months from the date on which the leave is earned after
Which the leave so earned shall lapse.
2. Of the four (4) holidays admissible on account of Durga Puja, minimum of two (2) days
should be granted to the Nursing Staff within a period of twenty seven(27) days (i.e.
upto Kali Puja) from the date of commencement of the Puja Holidays. The remaining
two(2) days will be admissible according to the conditions laid down in para-l above.
3. Holidays falling on the fixed off day will not be counted towards compensatory leave.
