How is silence related to violence?

I would like you to think, how is silence shown in our lives?

Silence is an important part of our language because it has several meanings, some of my
favorite definitions are the one by Binderman that states that “Silence makes the boundaries
between the world and language disappear”, the one by Pythagoras that despond the silence
as the beginning of wisdom. But the one I like the most, the most is the one by Alejandro
Arevalo that understands the silence as a gesture of nobility, because as he says “in the land
we live, no one listens anymore”

In our daily life, we have underestimated silence and understanding it just as the act of
doesn’t produce any sound. For example, when the teacher tells us to be quiet, or when
someone asks us if their hair looks great and looks like this (photo), we keep silent just to
not make them feel bad. But silence goes so much deeper and is related to morality that IN
MY WORDS is how are our actions are governed by how we feel, and how we think based
on our experiences, so following my idea I am going to prove to you that this is so, because
as you know and if you don't let me tell you, I LOVE TO BE RIGHT.

What is silence for a lawyer? Is it the same for a student in 11 (eleventh) grade?

Of course not, for a lawyer silence is

Silence from the law....

Silence can be interpreted in different ways in the field of law...

In criminal matters, it would have several meanings. For the captured criminal it becomes a
right, have you heard the phrase "he has the right to remain silent"? For the victims of the
worst crimes, for example, it implies the most atrocious act of revictimization, since one of
the basic rights of the victim is "to know the truth”

But more important than all the above ...... is that the law has a close relationship with the
rule of law and, why not, with democracy. And in this order, silence on the part of the
people in a democracy represents, in my opinion, the worst tragedy that a nation can suffer,
because exactly in a government of the people guided by their representatives, it is the
citizens who must raise their voices, first to choose well, but mainly to control the public, to
demand the guarantee of their rights, to monitor the investment of the resources of all.

For me in the field of law and norms, in a democracy, the silence of the people can be the
worst way to go.

this doesn’t have the same meaning for a student who thinks that silence is… “I believe that
silence is a tool, a form of expression or a pause, sometimes silence is many things. It is not
only not making noise, silence has many backgrounds, silence in violence is fear, and
silence in music is a space, but silence in the classroom is also respect. So, it has many
definitions, but for me, it is a tool that you must know how to use.” They think so
differently and is normally because they are in different stages of life and have had
different challenges and experiences throughout their lives. The same happens with a
teacher and a politologist. I asked one of my favorite teachers and he described the silence
as “Silence is the most beautiful sound, through silence that we really hear ourselves. Well,
says Beethoven if you are going to break the silence, do it to improve it. I also see silence
as the main attribute of the wise man, the one who in his introspection can listen to every
beat of the world and the universe and turn it into his own melody. \ilence is the music of
wisdom.” I also asked my mom because she is a beautiful and smart politologist, and she
told me first to take medication because I was very sick, and then when she was calmed
down, she told me this

Scene 1
MARIANA JOSEFINA take your medication, later you will be saying that your ear hurts
and missing school

Scene 2
From a political science perspective, in many cases, silence can be seen as a diplomatic
solution to conflicts or situations that need to be analyzed in greater depth.

Silence should not necessarily be considered negative. It can be seen as a way to find
answers to the questions of certain situations.

In many ways it resembles the way in which religions achieve moments of deep reflection,
to guarantee a more meaningful answer to different questions.

To clarify something. It doesn’t mean that all lawyers, politologist, teachers, or even
students think the same because they don’t, they’re just examples. Now,
Do you think silence in all cases means the same?
There are 10 types of silence but let me tell you just about 3.

Prudent Silence that is what I told you at the beginning about our friends with exotic
haircuts
Complicit or committed Silence is in which we show active and committed conformity
with the other, it opens us to trust and act. For example, when you look at someone you
love and even without pronouncing a word you both laugh
Systematic Silence is used by those who have discovered that opening their mouths
compromises them and decide to live comfortably with their mouths shut, a good example
of it is when a whole classroom complains that the teacher does not leave enough time to
do the activities and tasks, but they don’t tell her because they fear losing grades

But that’s not my exact point, my point is that SILENCE IS TOTALLY RELATED WITH
VIOLENCE

For no one is a secret that Colombia was involved in an armed conflict for several years in
which many lives were stolen by guns, in which many people were obligated to leave their
houses and their towns. All was made because of the hate and the low tolerance in political
aspects. I don’t want to talk about them, because it doesn’t have relevance here, but I want
to share with you some testimonies because from my point of view silence was a
manifestation of underlying problems in the configuration of our political and social order
because many victims were silenced.

“Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, and intersexual people having violated in the
context of the conflict by armed actors, since their gender and sexual identity have been a
reason for aggression in Colombia, violence has been linked to speeches of cleansing and
social control that stigmatized and threatened this population this is made worse by the
silence of victims”

In the communities that have suffered from the war, there is silence about collaboration
loyalties and treasons that lets who want to participate in or allow the violence and end up
on opposing sides of the armed conflict

My nephew whose father was killed, the next day she went and filed the lawsuit and what
did she have to do? She had to remove it because the next day they went down to the house
and called her, then they told her to drop the lawsuit, or they would not be responsible for
her life.

So, silence doesn’t mean indifference. Silence imposed by actors to prevent denunciation
affected how the judicial system works. Killing civilians was a way to keep silent or
punishment if they don’t. Lethal and non-lethal violence carried with them a “silence law”
which made it easier to fulfill the actors’ objectives

Seeing the context, with the information I shared with you, and closing let me ask you
Now, what do you think
