Dear Principal / Headmaster / Headmistress,

Greetings!

We hope this letter finds you well. With reference to the subject cited above, we are writing to
inform you about an exciting and educational event that promises to be a valuable addition to the
students' learning experiences.

We are thrilled to announce the Art Competition, which is organized in collaboration with the
Ministry of Education, Government of Sindh, the Consulate of United Arab Emirates and Ziauddin
Intermediate College. This competition aims to promote literacy and creativity among students in
our region and provide them with a platform to showcase their talents.

The Art Competition (Across Sindh) is a unique opportunity for students to express their creativity
with regards to COP 28 which is about the current weather crisis the world is facing. We would like
the Children to share creative ideas by their drawings and paintings with regards to Climate Change
to bring awareness amongst our future generation. The best chosen Drawings/Paintings from the
schools will be given an award and the art-work will be displayed at the Consulate of United Arab
Emirates. This collaboration aims to promote an awareness program amongst the youth of how to tackle
with severe weather crisis taking place in the World and what measures should be taken to tackle
it. We believe that such initiatives are instrumental in shaping the future of our young generation
and creating a more educated and culturally enriched society.

We kindly request your support and participation in making this event a great success. Please feel
free to contact the focal person(s) if you have any questions or require further information. Your
active involvement will play a crucial role in ensuring that students in our region benefit from

ANNEXURE – A
ART COMPETITION GUIDELINES

Guidelines for Participants:

1. Eligibility:
This competition is open to all students from Sindh, Pakistan, in
Grades 1 to 12.
Participants are categorized as follows:
i. Category A: Primary 5 – 10 years
ii. Category B: Lower Secondary 11 – 13 years
iii. Category C: Secondary & Higher Secondary 14-18 years

2. Theme:
- Your artwork must reflect the theme as highlighted in the letter. Participants
are encouraged to use their creativity.

3. Artwork Specifications:
- The size of the paper should be A3 (297 x 420 mm).
- Artwork should be created exclusively through traditional hand-drawn or painted
methods using color pencils, crayons, oil paints, or similar traditional mediums.
- Artwork should be original, unpublished, and created specifically for this
competition.

4. Submission Requirements:
- Each participant must affix a label with the following information on the back
of their artwork:
a. Full Name
b. Father's Name
c. Class/Grade
d. School's Name
e. Contact Number
f. Category

PARTICIPANT’S ART-WORK WILL BE REJECTED IF EITHER OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS

5. Submission Deadline:
- All entries must be submitted either in person or couriered, by
Tuesday, 5 th
day of December, 2023 to the designated submission
location as mentioned below:

D-64, Block – H, North Nazimabad, Karachi

Any courier or submission after the deadline will not be accepted.


6. Judging Criteria:
- Artworks will be judged based on the following criteria:
Creativity and Originality: How unique and imaginative is the artwork?
- Interpretation of the Theme: How effectively does the artwork convey the
stated theme?
- Artistic Skill: The quality of execution and technical skill in the artwork.
- Overall Impact: The emotional impact and ability to engage viewers.

8. Display and Exhibition:


- Selected artworks will be displayed at Consulate of United Arab Emirates,
Karachi for public viewing. [Date and Time to be communicated later].

9. Rights and Permissions:


- By submitting an artwork, participants grant permission for their artwork to
be displayed, reproduced, and used for promotional purposes related to the
competition.

- The organizers would appreciate it if participants acknowledge the theme and
competition in their artwork or artist's statement.

- The organizers may issue updates or clarifications to these guidelines, which
will be communicated to participants as necessary.

participants, and promote the event effectively to encourage a diverse range of
student artists to participate.
