The official class timetable for all campuses is published on the UFS
Web (https://www.ufs.ac.za/kovsielife/unlisted-pages/academic-
life/official-timetables) under Students – Official Timetables, where
modules are listed alphabetically.

Personal class timetables for students can be obtained, after

registration, on the UFS Web (https://www.ufs.ac.za/kovsielife/student-self-
service ) under Students – KovsiLife (Student portal) – Student Self-
Service - Timetables.

5 Important Information:

➢ Immediately next to the module code, the type of class is indicated, e.g.
Lecture, Practical, etc.
➢ IMPORTANT: If Lec 1, Lec 2 and Lec 3 are indicated on the timetable, you
have to attend all three the classes. This is NOT an indication of choice and
all three lectures are compulsory.
➢ The (A), (B) etc. refer to groups in the same module and are usually indicated
where a large number of students have registered for the module. Select the
group which scheduling suits your timetable best, but once you have chosen
e.g. group A, you have to attend the scheduling of classes for that specific
group and remain in that group.

3
➢ In the next column, the timeslot is indicated. Determine the period that you
will attend according to the timeslots as indicated above.
➢ In the following column appears the venue in which the specific module will
be presented. The codes for the venues are provided in the diagram with the
codes of buildings.
