Unrated: $150

Prize-Money: 1st $2000

Section B. Under 1600 Rapid Chess Championship 2023

Registration opens on 2nd October 2023 (Up to 200 entries)
Entry Fee: $40

Open to players FIDE rating 1600 and below (as per FIDE October rating list)
Standard rating shall be used if the player has NO Rapid rating
Prize-Money: 1st $400
All Prizes will be announced before Round 1

Rules and Regulations:

1. The Cairnhill Chess Festival 2023 will be played under the FIDE Laws of Chess.
2. Players are eligible for only 1 prize. No sharing of prizes in the event of tie.
3. Cheque payment will be made payable to winners.
4. Entry fees are Non-Refundable.
5. Limited entries for each Championship - based on a first-come-first-serve-basis.
6. Participants are expected to maintain acceptable standards of dress code (no slippers)
& behaviour.
7. Closing Date: 23rd November 2023 or earlier once the maximum number is reached.
8. Tie Breaks to be announced before Round 1.
9. December FIDE ratings will be used for Section A, B & C pairing.
10. The organising committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry without
providing any reason/s and amend the above rules and regulations or part therefore
without prior notice.
11. All decisions made by the Chief Arbiter shall be final.
