Booking and Allotment of Residential Facilities

Online Allotment Process for Residential Facilities i.e. Residence, Mess, Gym and Laundry for

existing students (Admission batch 2022 or earlier) is going to start from 02 April 2023 for session

2023-24 and the last date to book the facilities with Early Decision Benefit (upto Rs. 10,000/-) is 30
Apr. 2023.
By paying minimum Rs 5,000/- as a booking amount, students can book desired hostel room along-
with any or all other facilities like Mess, Gym and Laundry.
The “Allotment Process of Residential Facilities’’ is a two-step process.

In this schedule, students of given Schools can book the residential
facilities in the prescribed hostels.

Step-2: Before Reporting

The residence facility can be booked as an INDIVIDUAL or as a GROUP (Student can choose his/her
roommates by selecting group booking option (Validation of group members has to be done using the OTP sent
to individual group member’s “My message” on UMS) whereas all the students for group booking have to pay
minimum Rs. 5,000/- as a booking amount individually within 02 hrs).

 If any group member does not want to book in the group he/she may book the residential facilities
through individual booking.
 If any group member fails to pay the minimum booking amount with in 2hrs then his/her group booking
will be cancelled and he/she can book the residential facilities individually.
 Group booking is required only for hostel room and one can choose other facilities individually.
Booking can be done through “Hostel Booking” on UMS Dashboard or by visiting:
UMS Navigation >> Residential Services >> Residential Facilities Booking >> Hostel Booking.

Allotment for Residential Scholarship Holder

Allotment will be separately managed by OMC-DRS (Block 29-301) (based on the details provided by the
concerned departments i.e Sports, Cultural or International department) for students awarded hostel charges
waiver under any scholarship scheme (like Sports, Cultural, Board topper etc.) or for with residential
scholarship International students, such students need not to participate in the Allotment Process of Residential
Facilities.
Changes in the booked residential facilities can be done as per the following table:
Student may change (Upgrade/ Downgrade or in Same Category) the booked
Within 07 Days of seat one time during the prescribed timeline without any additional charges.
Change of Booked Reporting in the hostel After changing the hostel seat once each shifting will be processed with
Facilities processing charges of Rs. 1000/-.
After 07 Days of Student may change the booked facilities in same category/ same charges after
Reporting the prescribed timeline with processing charges of Rs. 1000/- for each shifting.
