PROJECT PROPOSAL: DABESH PROGRAM

(Developing Adolescent for Better Engagement to Services on Health)

PROPOSED DATE: JUNE 13, 2023

RATIONALE:
The Adolescent Health and Youth Development Program (AHYDP) is response to the growing
awareness worldwide on the reproductive health issues and concerns of the youth and their significant
contribution to future population and health trends.
Barangay Magsaysay is committed in addressing the needs of adolescent, ensuring that
they have access to affordable, available quality health care, good nutrition, and equipped with
knowledge which contribute to their decision-making capabilities in terms of their Health
Perception leading to more effort and better Health Outcomes.
This preventive approach ensures that the client is given health care and services in a
holistic manner thus making a patient centered taking into consideration on particular needs. This
may also promote participation and empower them towards achieving optimum level of
wellness.

OBJECTIVES:
o To raise awareness by means of Intensified Information Education Campaign
focusing on Adolescent Health.
o To provide one stop services to our Participants
o To provide one on one counseling regarding their nutritional status and family
planning.

Target: 10-19 Out of School Youth & Teenage couples, LGBT

Activities:
o DABESH TALKS
 Teenage Pregnancy
 Drug and Substance abuse by PNP
 Oral Care
 Mental Health Awareness
 Family Planning by Municipal Population Office

o Nutrition Counselling
o Family Planning Counselling for Teenage couples

o Creation of DABESH CLUB

o Launching of TEENLINE “Dabesh talk” (Teen line provides support, resources and hope
through a 24/7 hotline of professionally trained teen counselors)

o Dental Check-up and Application of Dental fluoride

o Provision of WIFA, Vitamin A, Deworming
