Cirebon Traditional Dance
Cirebon Traditional Dance is a captivating expression of the rich
cultural heritage of Cirebon, a city in West Java, Indonesia.
These traditional dances are characterized by intricate movements,
colorful costumes, and a strong emphasis on storytelling.

Tari Topeng Kelana - Cirebon Traditional Mask Dance

Tari Topeng is a traditional dance that was used by Sunan Kalijaga and Sunan Gunung
Jati as a means of spreading the Islamic religion. There are five types of topeng dances,
namely Topeng Panji, Topeng Samba, Topeng Rumyang, Topeng Tumenggung, and Topeng
Kelana, each depicting different phases of human life.

The one being performed at the moment is Topeng Kelana, which portrays someone with a
fierce and wrathful nature. Dancers wearing this mask will play the role of a villain
or antagonist. Despite portraying a negative character, this mask imparts an important
lesson, reminding us that people should strive to achieve a good and happy life through
virtuous means.

Gending Panca Reksa

The Traditional Dance of Gending Panca Reksa represents a form of balance and peace
upheld by warrior leaders, showcasing determination and agility in times of war. This is
embodied in the Manggala Yudha dance. This dance includes elements of tari baksa
tari angklung bungko, and silat movements as symbols of heroism.t
