Narration of Experience

September 11, 2023. That was the first day of on-the-job training. Sir Paul first

made me an account for the computer I will use in the office to have a system

and print picking slips assigned to me. Sir Paul introduced me to my co-workers

at DOFI and DCI. My first day was not good because the head of the admin,

Ma'am Jesusa, was in a bad mood then, but some also said that she was strict at

work. The head of HR called my supervisor and me to explain what assignment

they could assign me and explain that they should not only train skills, but I

should also prepare mentally and emotionally because when I am in the real

world, I am ready and I have already gone through in OJT. The head of
warehousing interviewed me first and checked my schedule because my

supervisor will give birth next week. Ma'am Rizza and Ma'am Liza taught me

what to do. First, there were instructions on how to print a picking slip, and they

also made a copy of the items and whose stockman assigned them so they could

assemble the order already. After giving it to the stockman, they will sign it, which

will be the proof that they received the items ordered by the client, then will be

pending in the stock count.

In my second week, before Ma'am Rizza left, she taught me about her work, like

demo monitoring; she gave me an Excel file to update daily. She also taught me

how to make an NSDR when an agent wants to demo an item to their clients, as

well as the pull-out form if the item has already been delivered to the client and

has lasted for two weeks. I will make a pull-out form to return the sample item to the

warehouse. I update it daily and will remember to print the pickling slip if have an

order. There are few orders in the morning, but when it comes to after lunch, it's a

lot of orders; when I print it, I give the name of whose stockman the item is and

give it to them.

In my third week, the work environment was happy even though there were only

of us in the office, and everyone should be open, especially when there is a

problem at work. Because Ma'am Jesusa doesn't want to have a problem,

everyone makes a solution if there is one. At first, I thought he was very strict, but

I realized that the longer I spent in the office, she was kind and funny; she just

wanted the work to go well. Initially, when Ma'am Rizza was no longer in the

office, I was nervous because I might make a mistake, but it's good that Ma'am

Lyza was always there to help me with my daily routine. Print a picking slip when
an order or something is revised to give to the stockman and demo monitoring is

updated. Ma'am Lyza also made me try to audit the stock count of Kuya Jerson,

one of the stockmen, and that's when I realized that it's not easy to do an audit;

you need to check to be able to tally.

Problems Encountered
One of her problem was the transportation and the traffic, the trainee
need to travel Binangonan to Cainta 1 hour and 30 minutes being not be
late in work as well as going home.

Conclusion

At the end of the on-the-job training period, as a trainee, I experienced many things

and learned from them. I gained knowledge about the work of an OJT inventory. I

know the basic stuff. During this time, I experienced how to deal with the people

around me, with co-workers. One team must have camaraderie to work well and

attain their goal. I observed that it was different when you were in school and when

you were in the real world. Because most of the time, you just learned theoretically, in

school, while in the real world, you experience what your trainers taught you.

Recommendations

Every trainee must be focus on their work. They should listen carefully to the

instructions of their supervisor. If they need help to understand something, they

should ask for help. You should be the one who takes the initiative that you want to

know. Deal with your problem with calmness so that everything will turn all right.

Trainees should always observe the proper attitude while working because their

attitude will also affect the work of their co-employees and the university. You should

work with promptness and be confident in your job.
