ABOUT
ENCODE
As a constituent college of the University of Delhi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College was established in
1967 as a coeducational institution bearing the name of Sardar Bhagat Singh. NAAC has given SBSC
a "A" rating. The college is proud of its well-known alumni who have made significant contributions to
a variety of business, cultural, and societal domains. They include Mr. Deepak Kapoor (Chairman of
PwC India) , Siddharth Malhotra (Bollywood actor), and Shoojit Sircar (Movie Director).

Encode - The Internship Cell of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College was founded in the year 2016. With
the guidance of our staff advisor, Dr. Anil Sardana, we became a part of the Centre for Skill
Development of the college. Encode believes that every individual needs a platform to understand
one's potential and work towards achievement of one's goals. With a team of 50+ members, we at
Encode, aim to provide the students with real life opportunities which help them grab their share in
the corporate world. We also assist the students' skill sets by organizing various workshops and
seminars on relevant topics. Encode has become one of the most reputable societies of the college
and we aim to keep soaring higher in times to come.

OUR EVENTS
SKILLOVATE
(FEBRUARY 2022)
Encode- The Internship Cell organised Skillovate 2022,
which was a three-day workshop on skill development in the
month of February The workshop saw an active
participation of over 250 students not only from the DU
circuit but Pan India. Skills including effective management
and presentation of data on MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and
Tableau were taught by prominent speakers that were
invited by Encode. The speakers for the event were CA
Rishabh Pugaliya, Mr. Aayush Jain and Mr. Havish
Madhvapaty.
INTERNOVATE
(APRIL)
Our flagship event, Internovate 2023 was
organized as a summer internship fair in the
month of April. It provided a wide platform for
various companies and non profit organizations
to interact with students from different fields
and provide them with internship opportunities
at their organization. Prominent recruiters for
the event included BAJAJ CAPITAL , AMPM ,
VQMS Pvt Ltd.
WINTERNOVATE
(NOVEMBER)
The third edition of our annual event,
Winternovate – the Winter Internship Fair was
conducted November, 2022. The event equipped
the students with great experience and exposure.
The internship fair was conducted virtually with
around 35 recruiters including 12+ paid
opportunities. Over 500 applications were
received within and beyond Delhi University,
recruiting 200 students from diverse fields.

SEMINARS &
COURSES
The society also conducts seminars and
workshops on a regular basis for giving
college students a wider porospective
about corporate world. Some of the
speakers for these events were Ms.
Neharika Khemka,Mr. Navneet Anand,
Ms. Apoorva Agarwal etc. Apart from
seminars, Encode is all set to launch its
new course on Basics of Stock Market
incollaboration with Bombay Stock
Exchange(BSE) & IQAC.

INTERNOVATE ‘23
HIGHLIGHTS
The Internship cell of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College conducted
its annual flagship event, Internovate - The summer Internship Fair
in the last week of April 2023. The Event observed an eminent
participation of 40+ Recruiters.

The event was conducted in the hybrid mode and saw

registrations of 1000+ students from within and beyond DU,
making it the highest number of registrations seen so far in the
event.

Top recruiters includes BAJAJ CAPITAL , AMPM , VQMS Pvt Ltd. .

recruitment process
1. The company is required to send all the necessary details (Job Description, Company
Information) regarding the internship opportunity to Encode.

2. After receiving all the requisites from the company, the internship opportunity is then
communicated to the students on social media platforms and email.

3. Students apply through Google form, where they put all their details and resume. The
database thus collected is forwarded to the companies.

4. The company shortlists students for the next round of recruitment procedure which may be an
aptitude test, group discussion and/or personal interviews, depending upon the company.

5. Once the Recruitment process is completed, the company is required to forward the names of
the selected students to Encode for the purposes of smooth communication with the
students.

OUR POLICY
• We neither tolerate nor encourage gender discrimination. We believe that both men and women are eligible

•We do not entertain internships that require the students to pay for the experience they are about to gain.

•As a part of our recruitment process, the company is expected to share the final list of selected candidates
after the interview process culminates so that we can coordinate the same with our Placement Cell.

•We follow the standard format as per the corporate standards while designing our posters.

•As according to our standard procedure, once we post in our responses to the company respectively we let
them hold their recruitment process as per their convenience. However, we shall remain available for any
assistance throughout the process.
