Steps to Create a file in windows.
1. Right-click on any empty space in the desktop.
2. Click on New.
3. Click on Text Document.
4. Type the name of the file.
5. Press Enter.

Steps to Rename a file.


1. Select the file.
2. Right-click on the selected file.
3. Click on Rename(from show more options).
4. Type the new name.
5. Press Enter.

Steps to Rename a folder.


1. Select the folder.
2. Right-click on the selected folder.
3. Click on Rename(from show more options).
4. Type the new name.
5. Press Enter.

Steps to Copy a file from one destination to another.


1. Select the file.
2. Right-click on the selected file.
3. Click on Copy(Show more options). Press Ctrl+C
4. Go to destination folder.
5. Right-click on any empty space.
6. Click on Paste(Show more options). Press Ctrl+V

1. Select the file/folder.

1. Open Control Panel(From search box in taskbar)
2. Click on Clock and Region.
3. Click on Set the Time and Date.
4. Click on Change date and time.
5. Set your time and date.
6. Click on OK.
Steps to Customize your taskbar by pinning your favourite applications.
1. Search for the favourite applications(from the search box in taskbar)
2. Click to open it.
3. Right-click the icon on the taskbar.
4. Click on Pin to taskbar.

Steps to Create a desktop shortcut to a commonly used application.


1. Right-click on an empty area of your desktop.
2. Hover over New in the context menu.
3. Select Shortcut from the submenu.
4. Click the Browse button and find the application's executable file.
5. Select the executable file and click the Next button.
6. Type a name or keep the default name, then click Finish.

Steps to Delete a file


1. Locate the file you want to delete.
2. Right-click on the file.
3. Select Delete from the context menu, or press the Delete key on your keyboard.
4. The file will be moved to the Recycle Bin.

Steps to restore the deleted file from the recycle bin.


1. Double-click on the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop to open it.
2. Locate the file you want to restore.
3. Right-click on the file.
4. Select Restore from the context menu.
5. The file will be restored to its original location before deletion.

Steps to Use the Windows search feature to locate the misplaced file.

1. Click the "Start" button in the bottom-left corner of the screen.


2. In the search bar, start typing the name or keywords related to the misplaced file.
3. Browse through the search results to find the file you're looking for.
4. Click on the file in the search results to open it directly, if it's an application or document.
5. If the file is located in a folder, you can right-click on it and select "Open file location" to navigate to the
folder containing the file.

Steps to Write a short document (e.g., a poem, a recipe) and print it.
1. Open Microsoft Word
2. Start a new document.
3. Write your content in the document.
4. Go to the "File" menu.
5. Select the "Print" option.
6. Choose your printer from the list of available printers.
7. Configure print settings you desire, like number of copies, paper size, and color options.
8. Preview the print.
9. Click the "Print" button

Steps to Research an interesting topic using a web browser, then write an email to a friend sharing the
information you found.
1. Open your preferred web browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari).
2. In the browser's address bar, type in keywords related to the topic you want to research and press "Enter" to
perform a search.
3. Look through the search results and click on relevant links to gather information about the topic.
4. As you read through the articles and sources, take notes on important points, facts, and any interesting
details that you want to include in your email.
5. Open your email application (e.g., Gmail, Outlook).
6. Click on the "Compose" or "New" button to start a new email.
7. Address your friend in the "To" field.
8. Start presenting the information you found.
9. Once you're satisfied with the email, click the "Send" button to send it to your friend.

Steps to Explore Windows settings and customize your desktop background, screen resolution, and power
settings.
1. Open Windows Settings:
a) Click on the "Start" button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
b) Click on the "Settings" gear icon.

2. Customize Desktop Background:


a) In the Windows Settings app, click on "Personalization."
b) In the left sidebar, select "Background."
c) Under "Background," choose a background image, or click "Browse" to select an image computer.
d) Choose the background type, such as "Picture," "Solid color," or "Slideshow."
e) Adjust any additional settings, such as the picture fit, slideshow settings, and colors.

3. Adjust Screen Resolution:


a) In the Windows Settings app, click on "System."
b) In the left sidebar, select "Display."
c) Under "Scale and layout", adjust the screen resolution by choosing different options from the "Resolution".
d) Choose the preview that looks best.

4. Customize Power Settings:


a) In the Windows Settings app, click on "System."
b) In the left sidebar, select "Power & sleep."
c) Under "Power & sleep settings”, adjust when computer goes to sleep and when the display turns off.
d) Click on the dropdown menus to select the desired timings.
e) Customize advanced power settings, click on "Additional power settings" on the right side.
