AFFIDAVIT
I, DURRIYAH KAMRUDDIN NOMANI of Passport Number Z5403395 and Post Office Box
Number …………………. Within the Republic of Kenya do hereby make oath and solemnly
state as follows;

1. THAT I am an adult of sound mind and therefore competent to swear this affidavit.

2. THAT I am the mother to UMME SALAMA KAMRUDDIN NOMANI, (hereinafter

“my daughter”) of Passport Number UO647205 and Post Office Box Number
……………… (find attached herein a certified copy of my daughter’s Passport).

3. THAT my daughter is married to one, IBRAHIM MUSTALI, (hereinafter “her

husband”) of Passport Number ……………… and Post Office Box Number ………...
(find attached herein a certified copy of her husband’s Passport).

4. THAT my daughter and his husband, are second cousins related through their
grandmothers who are maternal sisters and this is in accordance with our tradition
and norm in strengthening the bond between the family ties (find attached herein
certified copies of my daughter’s and his husband’s Birth Certificates).

5. THAT my daughter and her husband met in Secunderabad, India and got engaged
in the year 2020 and subsequently her husband’s family paid us a visit where we got
the opportunity to know and interact with each other.

6. THAT eventually, my daughter and his husband got married in November 2022 in
Surat, India (find attached herein certified copy of the marriage certificate).

7. THAT my daughter has informed us of his husband’s high repute, admirable

candour and status within the society of which information we verily believe to be
true. To attest to this, his husband is a professional doctor in training. That he is
inter alia unique, kind and humble person.

 8. THAT now as a couple, my daughter and his husband are looking forward to
starting a family life together albeit her husband’s continuing medical studies in the
United States of America limiting their time together.

9. THAT I swear this affidavit in support of my daughter’s prompt processing of

United States Visa application.

10. THAT I attach herein scanned copies of Passport sized photos of my daughter’s, his
husband and mine.

11. THAT what is stated herein is true to the best of my knowledge, information and
belief.
