History of Deutsche postal-DHL:
After 1950, the former government-run German postal service, founded in 1947(replacing
Reichspost), was known as the Deutsche Bundespost. It was structured along the lines of the
old PTT paradigm (postal, telegraph, telephone) that was common in most European nations
at the time. Even as late as the mid to late 1990s, a visit to a German post office found relics
of the old PTT type post office, complete with dedicated counters for specialised services and
phone booths for long distance calls.
After German reunification in 1990, the eastern and western post offices were combined into
the Bundespost. The original postal, telecommunications, and banking operations were spun
off as separate firms in 1995. The Deutsche Post AG is headquartered in the 41-story Post
Tower in Bonn, has entered the twenty-first century with dramatic changes in the way it
distributes mail and interacts with consumers. Deutsche Post AG went public on November
20, 2000. It was the largest IPO of the year in Germany and the third-largest in the world. In
1996, investments in logistics technology were made with the goal of achieving speedier
countrywide delivery of mail and goods.34

focus on warehouse automation, robotics projects, and data analytics. It also aims to increase

Deutsche Post launched the E-Postbrief, a digital letter in 2010 that allows people and
organisations to safely and securely communicate with one another via the internet. It is as
legally binding, private, and dependable as a letter, yet it is as quick as an e-mail.
Deutsche Post buys Exel, a British logistics company, for 5.5 billion euros in December
2005. Exel had around 111,000 employees in 135 countries at the time. The company's
profits increased by 55 percent to 172 million pounds in the first half of 2005. (251 million
euros).9
Factors affecting the change:
From major to minor changes, Deutsche Post has developed its business sector, which
includes mail and parcel delivery services both nationally and internationally, strengthened
their parcel network through numerous acquisitions, evolved to meet future challenges and
expectations, provided every kind of facility to employees and suppliers, also created and
opened a wide range of opportunities for different kinds of people within the society.
As a result of such a system, which needed major reforms and privatisation, significant issues
arise. Deutsche Post was positioned as a vital and leading institution, monitoring the diverse
and ever-changing high requirements of customers, employees, investors, and stakeholders,
adapting to the unpredictable environmental changes, and representing a group-wide
sustainable, futuristic, and attainable goals. Shifting to a worldwide freight transportation
system that includes train, road, air, and sea transportation, as well as establishing and
growing a package delivery and e-commerce system. Opening innovative center, the mission
of this state-of-the-art research and Development Center The goal is to facilitate in creating
new, highly inventive, and commercial products based on future logistic trends.
All of the adjustments were in response to the group's promises to upper and lower
management, as well as the economy. Due to its efficiency, transparency, and dynamic and
vibrant work culture, Deutsche received a favourable reaction in its future planned change
management. They have been making constant efforts and focusing on a sustainable and
standardized strategy by satisfying everyone's and their own high standards, objectives, and
requirements, which has a significant impact on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Increasing
the value of the company's brands while advocating for a collaborative strategy that cuts
across industries and national borders.
CMOD Theory:
According to the aforementioned patterns, the deustche position has undergone massive and
constant development in order to stay relevant in a vast market and generate chances for the
improvement of their workers, stakeholders, investors, and consumers. They have been quite
constant in keeping up with current trends or starting new ones that will help them stand out
in the market. Since the input (raw material, human resources, capital, technology),
transformation (training and efficiency), output (transparency, product, services, customer
satisfaction), and feedback (suggestion, doubts, complains), the OD model that can be used is
"Open system theory". They had taken client loyalty and input very seriously, and as a result,
they had reaped the most advantage of all the postal services. They have now established
itself as one of the world's leading and quickest postal service providers. They have fully
used all of their resources and technology. All of the strategies were moulded so successfully
during the company's ongoing transition that they added value to the company's brand and
finally made a substantial global influence in their area.
