PRACTICAL 2

You are provided with the following solutions:


BA1 is a solution of Hydrochloric acid
BA2 is 0.1M solution of sodium hydroxide
Phenolphthalein indicator
You are required to determine concentration of the acid in gl-1
Procedure:
Pipette 20 or 25 cm3 of BA2 in to a conical flask. Add 2 to 3 drops of phenolphthalein
indicator.
Titrate the solution with BA1 from the burette. Repeat the titration until you get
consistent values. Record your values in the table below
