• What is the purpose of schooling?

The purpose of schooling is to give kids a place to learn and be able to feel safe,
comfortable, and heard.
• What should people learn in schools?
In schools, people should learn how to follow their dreams, never give up, and how to be
active members of the community.
• Who should decide what people should know?
-the school board ultimately decides what people should know, but they have to work
with legislature, parents, and other sources to work with disagreeing opinions and topics

• With Dr. Forgey, what did you hear that motivates him to do what he does with
the school board and how does his background influence his perspective about
what is best for the school district?
-he has been a community member for many years, so he has a lot of experience. He has dealt with
many people, meetings, and a lot of backlash for certain topics and he has always come out on the other
side and he continued to be elected.
Where do people live? How does this influence the schools kids attend?

• Is there a local realtor who might be willing to talk to you about the schools?-did
he mention anything about this as a speaker?

traditional public schools)I could not do this yet but I plan to.
• Consider visiting the community library, museum, cultural centres or other places

can see one online.
