1. Explain how factors of marketing and operations affect the competitiveness of an organization.

 Factors of marketing and operation could affect the competitiveness of an organization


by making sure that it will still stay on the run even if it is located on the competitive
field, it will stay competitive because marketing and operation focuses on consumers’
attitude like identifying what are the wants and needs of a consumer, while considering
the price and quality of a product at the same time. And by the use of promotion and
advertising the product will be known and that will make an organization competitive.

2. Pick a factor that determines global competitiveness and explain how it affects the
competitiveness of an organization.

 One factor that determines global competitiveness is productivity, it affects an


organization in terms of making sure that their performance and production will still
have high quality without wasting time and effort, and since the organization is
productive, they will have a high performance to produce goods that will make them
competitive.

3. Discuss how management practices in Asian countries improve over the years.

 During 1980’s Asian countries' process and products continually improve by practicing
the principle of Quality Control Circles since it goals establish a good relation between
employees and customers, thus there is also involvement of customers to the product.
In 1990s, some countries like Singapore and Malaysia adopt and apply the technique of
Total Quality Management and this resulted an effective way to promote the product
and services that they have. In 2000s, Asian countries have already met the effective
environment management because companies have already embraced the international
standards.
