INTRODUCTION

Hi! Thanks for purchasing this Jazzduets Diminished Triad Pairs resource.
I hope you are excited about discovering how to use the Diminished Triad
Pairs to create interesting, angular lines in your improvisations.
The cool thing is that once you have assimilated the Triad pair shapes under your
fingers, you will be able to play these sounds over multiple harmonies!
Happy practicing
Nick Homes

How to use
On pages 4-6 you will find the Theory on applying A diminished and B
Diminished Triads over different harmonies. This theory as well is demon-
strated in the included Mp4 video. Play these examples on the piano and
transpose to other keys for a deep, complete learning experience.
On pages 7-18 the Diminished Triad Pair shapes are notated in 12 keys.
Firstly, pick the shapes you like best and memorise those!
Far better to know 2 or 3 shapes inside out than an approximation of a
many!

It is highly reccomended to always practice these Triad Pair shapes with the
inlcuded drones. This way each time you practice you will be re-enforcing
the relationship between the triads and the harmony, leveraging your prac-
tice time!
As well, be sure to extend the ranges of the shapes to fit your instrument.

The included drones are labelled in concert key. So transposing instru-

ments will need to keep this in mind when using the practice drones and
playalongs.
