Kesintisiz Güç Kaynağı, gemi şebekesinde bir arıza olması durumunda kendi bataryalarında tuttuğu
enerji ile Uydu Haberleşme Sistemi’ni 5 dakika boyunca beslemesi için tasarlanmıştır. Cihaz,
bataryaları da sayarsak 5 alt birimden oluşmaktadır. 2.5 kVA çıkış sağlayabilen 3 adet 2U’luk KGK
birimi ve 2 adet bu KGK’ların enerjisini depolayabileceği 2U’luk bataryadan oluşmaktadır. Bu alt
birimlerin nasıl birleştirilip, sistem haline getirildiği Şekil 1. de gösterilmiştir. Her bir alt birim KGK’nın
girişinde 440VAC’den 115VAC’e çeviren trafolar bulunmaktadır. Cihazın teknik isterleri aşağıdadır.

1. Electrical and Functional Requirements


1.1. S-UPS shall provide at least 4.6 KW and 6.5 KVA total output power. Maximum total output
power of the device shall be at least 6KW and 7.5 KVA.

When its input voltage is 3 phase, 440VAC±%10 / 60Hz±%10, S-UPS shall provide the
output voltage mentioned in item 1.6 in case the equipment is operating either at full load,
or no load or at a load condition in between.

1.2. S-UPS shall have double 3 phase input connectors for redundancy. When power outage
occurs in the currently used 3 phase input port, the equipment shall be fed from the other 3
phase input port without any interruption at the output. 
1.3. When the input voltage to the equipment is as mentioned in item 1.4, the output
voltage of S-UPS shall be single phase, 115VAC±%1 / 60Hz±%1, in case the
equipment is operating either at full load, or no load or at a load condition in between.
Dynamic response shall be±4% for 100% Step Load Change and recovery time shall
be at most 500μs.

1.4. S-UPS can have either one single phase, 115VAC / 60Hz output or more than one single
phase, 115VAC / 60Hz outputs.

1.5. S-UPS shall condition the output voltage.

1.6. S-UPS shall have cold start capability (able to start with when AC input is not present).

1.7. S-UPS shall be double conversion online type: it will convert the AC input voltage to DC
voltage and use this DC voltage for both charging the batteries and producing a synthesized
AC output voltage.

1.8. S-UPS shall have a manual by-pass switch to connect the input voltage to its output. The by-
pass shall be from 3 phase input to single phase output. This manual by-pass shall not cause
outage in output voltage.

1.9. S-UPS shall have an automatic by-pass mechanism to connect the input voltage to its output
in case of excess load or equipment failure. The by-pass shall be from 3 phase input to single
phase output. This automatic by-pass shall not cause outage in output voltage.

In case the UPS has more than one single-phase output, if one or more outputs fail due to
excess load or equipment failure, this output (or these outputs) shall be automatically by-
passed and ship’s power shall be transferred to that output(s). The remaining outputs shall
be fed through UPS itself.

1.10. S-UPS shall have enough battery capacity to supply the output power mentioned in Item 1.2
for 5 minutes during power outage.

1.11. MTBF value shall be at least 10000 hours and MTTR value shall be at most 30 mins. The
method of calculation of MTBF shall be compatible with MIL-HDBK-217 standard and
Parts Count Prediction procedure.

1.12. Overload rate shall be %110 for 10 mins of overload duration and overload rate shall be
%200 for 50 ms of overload duration.

1.13. Total harmonic distortion shall be at most %5(@%80 Non-Linear load) with power factor
0.7.
