Design Stipulations

1.1 Charateristics Strength of concrete specified :25 N/mm2

1.2 Maximum size of aggregate to be used : 20mm

1.3 Desired workability of concrete : 100 +25 mm slump

1.4 Exposure condition specified : Moderate

1.5 Degree of quality control expected to be excercised at site : Good

2.1 Specific gravity of cement (OPC - Rajashree 43 Grade) : 3.15

2.2 Specific gravity of coarse aggregate (20mm) : 2.68

2.3 Specific gravity of coarse aggregate (10mm) : 2.67

2.4 Specific gravity of fine aggregate : 2.63

2.5 Water absorption of CA : 0.50 %

2.6 Water absorption of FA : 1.00%

The coarse aggregate fraction I & II to be used for concrete mix are 60% and 40% respectively, which
satisfy grading requirement as per IS: 383 - 1970
