1. Scope: Casing bowls / spools, tubing heads / spools, adapter & loose flanges,
O.E.C’s, tubing and casing hangers, secondary and primary seals, from forgings, bar –
stock, mill – shapes, and rings

2. Responsibility:
• Purchasing personnel – To ensure conformity to this specification while
purchasing.
• Receiving – Shall be done by QA/QC or delegate to ensure that purchased
materials conform to the requirements of this specification.
• GNWF/Material Suppliers – Ensure referenced standards and specifications are
met.

4. Chemical Requirements
4.1 Material chemical composition shall be determined on a heat basis (or a re–melt
ingot basis for re – melt grade materials) in accordance with nationally/internationally
recognized standards specified by the manufacturer.
4.2 Element limits are expressed in percentage mass fraction, and shall conform to the
limits below for API 6A, PSL 1 - 3:

8. Certification
8.1 Off – shore vendors shall submit a Material Test Report (MTR) in the format
provided, to the customer representative or its agent prior to, and with the material
shipment.
8.2 Domestic vendors shall submit a Material Test Report (MTR) as directed by the
purchaser; otherwise, it shall be shipped with the material.
