STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
GENERAL PROBLEM
SPECIFIC PROBLEM
This study’s goal is to also seek the answers from the question
below:
1.1 Age
1.2 Gender?
2.1 Productivity
2.2 Motivation
3.1 Comfortability
3.2 Resources
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK:
Resources
Sufficient time
Schedules
Scope:
The aim of this study is to determine how the home environment, which includes factors like parental
involvement, income, physical space, noise level, and resource availability, affects the study habits of
students at NUEVA ECIJA HIGH SCHOOL-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. The study habits cover things
like time management, inspiration, focus, self-control, and learning techniques. The primary method for
gathering data for the study will be a survey questionnaire, which will be a quantitative research design.
The senior high school students enrolled at NUEVA ECIJA HIGH SCHOO-SENIOR HIG SCHOOL for
the academic year 2023–2024 make up the study's target population.
Delimitation: The study will focus only on senior high school students at NUEVA ECIJA HIGH
SCHOOL-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. The study will also limit its scope to the students' living situations
and study practices, and it won't take into account additional factors that can influence how well students
perform academically, such as, the curriculum, peer pressure, or personal problems. The students' self-
reported data will be the only data used in the study, and no objective data will be used to validate their
answers. The study will assume that the students will be accurate and honest in their responses to the
questionnaire.
The NEHS SHS division used the Annex building and additional
Grade 7 classrooms during it is first year of operation. The faculty
room and the administration office were two of them. Since it was
still integrated with the junior high school at the time, The SHS
department was then supervised by the school's principal, Dr. Monica
B. Mallari.
Parental Involvement: Parents should take note of students because it clarifies the value of establishing a
positive learning environment at home. The study's findings shed light on how elements like noise,
illumination, organization, and a clean atmosphere, among others, might impact a student's study habits.
Parents may improve the study environment and assist their kids in developing better study habits that can
help them succeed academically by being aware of these variables. Parents can also use the study's
findings as a guide to improve their child's study environment and make adjustments that will increase
their child's motivation and focus.
Identifying Challenges:
This research can help identify challenges students may face due to their home environment, such as
distractions or lack of resources. Addressing these challenges early can lead to improved learning
outcomes.
In conclusion, studying the correlation between the home environment and study habits is important
because it can enhance academic results, provide students with greater support, and provide a deeper
understanding of the elements that affect learning.
