Dear Student:

Heartiest congratulations! You are one of our outstanding students in The University of
Arizona College of Nursing who has earned special recognition for superior academic
achievement during the 2021-2022 academic year. You will be honored during the College
of Nursing Honors Celebration on Friday, October 7, 2022, starting at 3:00 p.m. for
Pre-Nursing Students and at 4:00 p.m. for all BSN students in the College of Nursing,
1305 N Martin Avenue, Room 117, Tucson. We encourage you to invite your family and
friends to join you in celebration of your accomplishments.

Students are to be commended and will receive a certificate of Highest Academic

Distinction or Academic Distinction:

Highest Academic Distinction is granted to students who have completed at least 30

credits during the previous academic year and maintained a 4.0 grade point average.

AND

Academic Distinction is granted to students who have completed at least 30 credits during
the previous academic year and maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average.
A short presentation will take place in the College of Nursing. We encourage you to attend
this event, so that we can publicly celebrate your accomplishments. College of Nursing
professors will excuse students to allow participation. Refreshments and a virtual tour of
the Steele Innovative Learning Center will follow. Please note, there will be a limited
number of tours.

In support of a successful celebration, we are asking all those invited to RSVP by Friday,
September 30, 2022: Honors Celebration RSVP.
