1st Sunday of the month for 2nd Session / 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
4th Monday of the month for Children’s Party / 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
D. Venue : Bacolod Parish Hall (Bacolod, Lanao del Norte)
II. RATIONALE
The Baptism sessions assists/convince parents in preparing to baptise their child into the life of Christ. All
parents who wish to have their child baptised at Bacolod Parish must complete the said seminar and
sessions. The goal of this is to help parents to have a greater appreciation of the joy and responsibility that
come with raising their child in the Catholic faith. In Baptism, your child becomes a member of the Church.
Our parish community is glad to welcome and be present in this meaningful beginning of your child's
journey in faith. In this context, Baptism becomes more meaningful when more people pray for your child.
The Sacrament of Baptism is one of the seven sacraments given to us by Christ. It is the first sacrament to
be received. It is through God’s love to us that we share in His eternal life. It makes us members of Christ’s
body, the Church.
III. PROCEDURE
A. Baptism seminars are held the 1st Saturday of every month for 1st Session and 1st Sunday of every
month for 2nd session both will be held at the Parish hall from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
B. The parents should attend the seminar prior 3 weeks before the set date on baptismal.
C. Parents of the child to be baptized are required to attend the pre-baptism seminar before scheduling
the Baptism. The seminar will provide parents the opportunity to renew and share their faith with
others.
D. Priest and Catechists are the one who’ll explain the whole topic or agenda of the seminar.
E. After every session, the parents will be given a certificate as a sign that they attended the seminar.
F. After the 2 sessions, there will be a free Family Day for the family of the parent that attended the
seminar. 4 members of the family can go to the Family Day.
