AFFECTS THE STUDENTS ACADEMIC

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
1.Why are students’ having fear speaking in front of groups?
2. What is the impact of fear in public speaking to student`s academic
performance?
3. How do students manage their fear in public speaking to prevent
conflict?

I - Impact of public speaking in students'


SA A N D SD

1.1. Speaking in front of audience can help students to


communicate more effectively.

1.2. When students regularly engage in public speaking, their


speech becomes normal.

1.3. If they regularly engage in public speaking, students can do


anything.
1.4. Students can help their pronunciation and how to be better
communicators.

1.5. Students can do socialize when they always do public


speaking.

1.6. Students can gain more confidence while doing the public
speaking.
1.7. Students who have a confident by doing public speaking can
have a lot of opportunity that he/she can take.
1.8. Students can feel disappointment on themselves when they
made a mistake in public speaking.
1.9. Students can motivate a lot of his/her co-students who also
have a fear in public speaking.

1.10. Students can know how to organize thoughts, stick to main


idea.

II - Having trouble speaking in front of groups

2.1. Students can feel anxious while looking in front of
group of people.
2.2. Some students are first timer in public speaking that's
why they hesitate in speaking in front of co-students.
2.3. Nervousness always comes first when they are ready
to do public speaking.
2.4. Always think the negative thoughts that may cause
stutter while delivering a public speech.
2.5. Students are afraid to make a mistake in front of a
group of people.
2.6. Students have trouble speaking because they have
been experiencing bullying.
2.7. I am worried that I cannot deliver well because of my
poor accent in public speaking.
2.8. Students have trouble speaking because of lack of
confidence.
2.9. A student having trouble in public speaking because of
lack of knowledge.
2.10. The students will be bothered when he/she sees a
people who stare and start talking in her presentation.
2.11. If they are consistently calm, students won't feel
anxious.
2.12. Students struggle with speaking properly in front of
others.
2.13. While waiting for their speech to begin, students are
seated in the audience and feel a great deal of anxiety.

III - How to prevent conflict that could affect the performance

3.1. Calming and thinking first before speaking is good for


public speech.

3.2. Not making any eye contact with people can ease the
nervousness when speaking in publicly.

3.3. Speaking in front of groups can overcome my fear by


thinking positive while doing a speech.

3.4. Looking at my friends and seeing them cheering can


help to ease my fear while doing a speech.

3.5. Students need to practice more when they need to


do a public speech to overcome their fear at their
performance.

3.6. I need to share a positive intention always listen and


understand the lesson.

3.7. I used to avoid pressuring myself while speaking in


front of many students.

3.8. I stop doing things that make me feel uncomfortable


like moving too much.

3.9. I am trying to boost my confidence when i am in


front and delivering public speech.
3.10. When i am preparing, i think about how i will greet
the audience to have their attention.
