Experiment-10
Aim: Simulate VLAN and verify the VLAN concepts the results.
Procedure:
1. Set up a network with 1 switch and 6 PC’s.
2. Then assign IP address and subnet mask to all the pc
3. Create different VLAN and assign pc to each pc
4. Then check the connectivity among all the pc
As we can see that ports are been assign to the default so we will create few vlan will be
assigning few port to that vlan

As we have created the 3 VLAN 10,20,30 all three VLAN we have assign 2 ports to each of
them so now we have 3 network instead of 1 whole network.
Using ping command check that the VLAN which we have created is connected or not.

Conclusion:
From this experiment I learned that we can divide one LAN into different VLAN. So after
creating multiple VLAN we treat each VLAN as a separate domain and because of this, PCs in
a VLAN can communicate with each but not with PCs of other VLAN. Also about the
Switchport mode access" command is used to set a port into access mode, and the "Switchport
access VLAN name" command is used to assign that port to a particular VLAN. By creating the
VLAN we cannot ping to another VLAN.
