ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON GULAYAN SA PAARALAN

To raise the awareness about health and nutrition among learners, the

Department of Education implemented “ Gulayan sa Paaralan Program ( Vegetable

Garden in School) The vegetables harvested from school garden are used to

sustain the school - based feeding program which aims to mitigate malnutrition.

The Corocawayan Elementary School started to plant vegetables during the

second quarter of this school year. This project was initiated by the school head,

Mrs. Mercedita A. Trinindad with the Gulayan sa Paaralan coordinator Mrs. Judith

O. Bautista. It was also conspired with the teacher from kindergarten to grade 6.

As of this time, the learners planted vegetables on their designated garden

are in school. But because of bad weather and heavy rains, it affects the growth of

the vegetables. But still Corocawayan Elementary will kept on gardening for the

good of the learners and the community.
