OBJECTIVES

Concept: Perineal Care, Perineal Flushing and Drug Administration


Area of Exposure: Virtual Room (Google Meet)
Date of Exposure: October 10-15, 2022
Clinical Instructor:

General Objective:
After 2 days of Skills Laboratory, I will be able to develop my cognitive, psychomotor and
affective domains in relation to the concept of Perineal Care, Perineal Flushing and Drug
Administration.

Specific Objectives: Within 8 hours, I will be able to:

Cognitive:
1. Identify the multiple practices, definition, purposes, principles, general considerations,
and equipment’s that are used and necessary for understanding the notable drug
administration of medication, and the perineal care and perineal flushing.
2. Develop a keen level of perception towards the concepts regarding the purpose and
goals of the perineal care, perineal flushing and the drug administration, in which it
establishes and delivers a purpose for potential health problems, needs and
interventions.
3. Recognize in which nurses are suited towards the roles and functions that are displayed
– how one interacts with and provides care and management towards the client.
4. Determine appropriate patient outcomes for perineal care procedures, as well as the
assistance necessary to complete the practice, including being cautious of the possibility
of potential adverse outcomes.
5. Explain the different structures of the rules for medication and drug safety protocols –
Right; drugs, does time and even interactions that serves as controlled orders of
practice.
6. Comprehend the different types of administration of medications towards different
practice and application of the patients’ human body – administration of the eyes, ear
and rectal to name a few.
7. Associate the sense of understanding towards the Perineal Care, Perineal Flushing and
Drug Administration in subtle order of understanding and practices and reason.
8. Evaluate the patient attentively to establish particular requirements, concerns, and self-
care abilities, as well as the extent of assistance essential to complete perineal care.

Psychomotor:
1. Show comprehensive understanding, application and practice the responsibilities that
nursing technique is documented, familiarized, administered, reviewed and evaluated.
2. Demonstrate in a proper manner, how these medications handle and held as well as
administered properly in medical environment as an application based work.
3. Compose a set plan of action and application towards data collection, of the procedures
and steps with each situation varying from the next – adapting procedural application
with the patient.
4. Operate under supervision of the assessment of the perineal care towards the client
such as the presence of the inflammation, excessive discharge, odor, discomfort, fecal
incontinence recent rectal and indwelling catheter.
5. Measure the knowledge retention of the practices in an actual environment regarding
how perineal care and Perineal Flushing management is applied as well as
demonstration of the practice is done.
6. Coordinate with other nursing students towards the different activities and assignments
that the Perineal Care, Perineal Flushing and Drug Administration are applied by
practice.
7. Administer the proper practice of aseptic technique, the skills, towards assessing
information of data gathering and formulation of plans as well as actual practice
applied.
8. Observe the precautionary measures for the patient who has a perineal wound or
stitches to reduce extensive discomfort

Affective:
1. Join the discussion during the face-to-face or virtual meeting to enhance my knowledge.
2. Participates willingly during the lectured assessment on how the Perineal Care, Perineal
Flushing and Drug Administration put into practice.
3. Share definite principles of data collection of the concept Perineal Care, Perineal
Flushing and Drug Administration; emotional and social components are implemented
while engaging with a client, establishing the said aspects for cooperative nursing health
care.
4. Communicate effectively and with respect to the clinical instructors during the breakout
session.
5. Choose the necessary reaction of emotions, handling and even providing towards
oneself. The option of opening-up towards to other valid feelings and practices.
6. Display an in-depth understating of other information, views and ideas that differ from
one’s own, acknowledge and allow every underlying viewpoint to be evaluated.
7. Discuss the specific knowledge learned and objectives moving forwards on the
discussions, as well as the lessons not fully understood.
8. Initiates a professional commitment to ethical practice on a daily basis.
