OBJECTIVES

Concept: Leopold Manuver, Fundic Height Measurement, Laboratory and


Diagnosis

Clinical Instructor:

General Objective:
After 2 days of Skills Laboratory, I will be able to enhance different
structured exposure that will help in my cognitive, psychomotor, affective and
intellectual abilities in relation to the concept Leopard Maneuver, Fundic Height
Measurement and Laboratory and Diagnosis that will provide the necessary
practice of health understanding.

Specific Objectives: Within 6 hours, I will be able to:

Cognitive:
1. Describe the four specific actions of Leopold Maneuver that needed to
perform such as the fundal grip, umbilical grip, pawlick’s grip and the pelvic
grip.
2. Explain the methods of Leopold Maneuver which includes the Fundal,
umbilical, pawlick, and pelvic grip that will help to locate the position of the
fetus.
3. Conclude that the concept of how gravidity and parity play an important
role in obstetric history as well as the principles of identifying parity, which
leads to the process of optimizing nursing care evaluation.
4. Comprehend the multiple procedures and information of fundal height
measurement towards the different size, growth and position of the baby in
the uterus of the mother.
5. State the Leopold maneuver, fundic height measurement, laboratory and
diagnosis - as a necessary and procedural basis in nursing procedure, as
well as specified terms in nursing care.

1. Coordinate with other nursing students towards the assignments and tasks
in which the Leopold Maneuver, fundic height measure, laboratory and
diagnosis put into practice – data collection as well as the implementation
of the data.
2. Demonstrate in a proper manner how the steps of leopold maneuver are
performed in practice and held as well as administered properly in a
medical environment.
3. Detect the gestation, position, and growth of the fetus, that follows the
right procedures and information of the fundal height measurement.
4. Show the skills and abilities for evaluating data that gathered, and
formulating objectives, and actually putting them into effect in with the
client.
5. Measure the knowledge retention related to the concept of Leopard
Maneuver, fundic height measure, laboratory and diagnosis. This includes
how that handled a task on their own, how they created a specific action
plan for nursing care.

Affective:
1. Display a clear grasp of other facts, opinions and ideas the differ from
one’s own, accept and allow every underlying viewpoint a chance to be
considered.
2. Join the discussion during the face-to-face or virtual meeting to enhance
my knowledge.
3. Participates willingly during the lectured assessment on how the Leopard
Maneuver take into action, and formulation of fundic height measure,
laboratory and diagnosis.
4. Share definite principles of data collection of the concept fundic height
measurement, laboratory and diagnosis; emotional and social components
are implemented while engaging with a client, establishing the said aspects
for cooperative nursing health care.
5. Initiate and communicate effectively and with respect to the clinical
instructors during the breakout session.
