¿THE PLANETS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM?

2. Objective
To search about the universe to know how is and to take care of it

3. Desarrollo.

3.1. Definitions of the solar system.

The solar system is the planetary system that gravitationally links a set of
astronomical objects that rotate directly or indirectly in an orbit around a single
star known as the Sun.

The planets of the solar system are in order of proximity to the sun: Mercury,
Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Pluto, which was
previously considered a planet, is today one of the 5 dwarf planets recognized in
the solar system.

3.2. Planets of the Solar System.

 The Sun is a star, that is, a celestial body that shines with its own light,
composed of hydrogen and helium at enormous temperatures in a plasma
state.
 Mercury is the planet in the solar system closest to the Sun and the smallest. It
is part of the so-called inner planets and lacks natural satellites.
 Venus is the second planet in the solar system in order of proximity to the Sun
and the third smallest after Mercury and Mars. Like Mercury, it lacks natural
satellites. Earth is a terrestrial planet. It is small and rocky.
 The Earth's atmosphere has the perfect thickness to maintain the planet's
temperate temperature, so that living beings like us can live in it.
 Mars is half the size of Earth and is also called the "red planet." It is red because
of the oxidized iron in the ground.
 Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system and the fifth in order of distance
from the Sun. It is a gas giant that is part of the so-called outer planets.
 Saturn is the sixth planet in the solar system. counting from the Sun, the second
in size and mass after Jupiter and the only one with a ring system visible from
Earth.
 Uranus is the seventh planet in the solar system, the third largest, and the
fourth most massive. It is named in honor of the Greek sky divinity Uranus, the
father of Cronus and the grandfather of Zeus.
 Neptune is the eighth planet in distance from the Sun and the farthest in the
solar system. It is part of the so-called outer planets, and within these, it is one
of the icy giants, and it is the first that was discovered thanks to mathematical
predictions.

3.3. Summary

The planets of the solar system are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,
Uranus and Neptune. Each of these planets has unique characteristics that
make them fascinating objects of scientific study.
