- The Marriott International’s Aloft Hotels brand
tested a robotic butler which was called “Botlr” in
late 2017 to help aid the front desk asscociates to
respond faster to guest theories and demands.
Last year, they introduced a whole new generation
in the form of a bot known as Chatbotlr, available
via text message and smartphones to users –
anytime and anywhere you need. Clients can ask
this bot a number of requests, for example to have
more toiletries added to their room, to order them
a taxi in the morning or give them a wake up call.
Reports from Marriot hotels showed that 2/3 Aloft
guests are interacting or making requests with
ChatBotlr and that the service has a 5 second
 response rate only.

Alexa is a great assistant when it comes to family

or even guests but sometimes issues cannot be
avoided like, finding smart devices with alexa isn't
working. This happens when your device isn't
compatible with Alexa. Next is Alexa is not
fullproof to hear you specially when there are too
much background noises.

Amazon echo also have minor issues like

disconnecting to the wifi therefore alexa is
unusable. Another issue is that alexa can have
bluetooth issues which will cause amazon echo to
be unusable.

Botlr can be a cause of unemployment, since it

takes the role of a service crew in Marriott
International's Aloft Hotel. Botlr is still a machine
and far from perfect meaning it will still have
shortcomings when a mechanical issue occurs.

We as youth, we firmly recommend the use of

technology in other sector. Especially for us
students to effectively kn owledge. Technology
also give happiness to people by playing online
and offline games with friends and family, such as
mobile legends that almost lead other people to
harm their selves because of addiction. But natural
agriculture as part of tourism industry give as
natural beauty of environment that allows us to
enjoy our life.
