OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR PROLONGATION OF FOREIGN

STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MARIBOR, FOR ACCOMMODATION
IN STUDENT DORMITORIES, FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2023/24

1. PURPOSE OF THE CALL

This tender enables extended stay of full-time foreign students of the University of Maribor in the Student
Dormitories of the University of Maribor.

2. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS AND BASIC TERMS

Students of the University of Maribor who are foreign citizens and do not have a permanent residence in the
Republic of Slovenia and are not in full-time employment can apply for the tender for extension (application
for extension of stay on the website - sd.um.si).
An application for an extension can be submitted by anyone who is already enrolled in a valid study program:
1st level (3 + 1 year) and 2nd level (2 + 1 year).
When extending the stay, the current duration of the stay is taken into account. A student at the 1st level
can stay in the dormitory for a maximum of 4 years, and if a student enrolls regularly at the 2nd level, he /
she can stay in the dormitory for a maximum of 7 years.
The call for extension will be published on 1st of July 2023. The application for extension of stay must be
submitted by 16th of August 2023. Students will be notified of the extension at the end of August 2023.

3. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The application for the tender must include the following documents:
- fill out the application for extension of stay at the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/KGwx2Tj5vW
- Certificate of enrollment (by the end of September 2023 at the latest) for studies at the University of
Maribor.

Students of the University of Maribor can only submit their application electronically. Students of other
higher education institutions (Higher Schools, Alma Mater Europea, Doba) submit the application for
extension using the forms below.

Maribor Student Dormitories:

4. SELECTION OF APPLICANTS
