Committee Members
Engagement with Committee Goals and Mission
As voluntary roles that give back to the industry, committee members are encouraged to remain engaged and actively
work towards achieving the committee's goals and mission. Their collective efforts contribute to the advancement
and enhancement of cybersecurity practices.

Active Participation in Quarterly Committee Meetings

Committee members are expected to actively participate in quarterly committee meetings chaired by the Committee
Chair and Co-Chair. These meetings will be centered around the committee's agenda, aligned with its goals and
mission. By engaging in discussions and providing valuable insights, committee members contribute to shaping the
committee's initiatives and activities.

Contribution to Selected Area of Interest

Each committee member must select at least one area of interest from the options provided during the onboarding
process. Whether it's Index Listings, Advocacy, Thought Leadership, Guidance & Mentoring, National Security, Pro
Bono Consulting, Rapid Response Teams, Awards, Sponsorships, Memberships, or Events, committee members will
actively participate and contribute their expertise and knowledge in their chosen area.

Collaboration with Committee Staff Liaison Officers

Committee members will liaise with Committee Staff Liaison Officers to stay informed about the committee's agenda,
progress, and updates. This collaboration ensures seamless communication and coordination between the committee
members and the committee's administrative team.

Optional Participation in Discussions and Events

In addition to quarterly meetings, committee members may receive invites for discussions related to various
committee activities. While attendance is optional, active involvement in these discussions can lead to meaningful
contributions and foster a collaborative environment.

Commitment to Professional Growth

Being part of the GCA Committee provides a platform for professional growth and networking opportunities.
Committee members are encouraged to leverage this platform to enhance their skills, expertise, and industry
knowledge.

Support of GCA Events and Initiatives

While participation in GCA events and committee events is optional, committee members are encouraged to attend
and support these initiatives to foster a sense of community and shared vision within the cybersecurity industry.

Collaboration and Teamwork

Effective committee membership requires collaboration and teamwork among all members. By working together,
committee members can collectively create a positive impact on the cybersecurity landscape.

Adherence to Ethical Standards

As representatives of the GCA, committee members are expected to adhere to high ethical standards and conduct
themselves with integrity and professionalism. Maintaining complete impartiality and unbiased behavior is a critical
aspect of the ethical standards that all GCA Committee Members must uphold. Committee members should base
their support and promotion of products, services, solutions, organizations, or professionals solely on merit and
objective criteria, without any bias.
