INTRODUCTION
Business Idea
Glamorous Lips, this business came from an idea of regular usage of lip balm
that will help our lips to soften by the CEO, and she thought that maybe this is the
right product to start a business. That’s why she gathered all of her friends to be
partners. They started planning the business from the product’s name which is
Glamorous Lips, in its quality, and how people will buy the said product. And as they
came up with the idea of how they will market it and how it will be unique to the other
company with the same product. The proponents will make sure that it will give you
this glamorous effect that everyone will notice. The company is still working to improve
the product, and they have goals and objectives to obtain, and want to be one of the
most trusted brands nationwide.
Business Description
Chapped lips are a universal problem, many people are experiencing dry lips
problems as they age. According to Higuera (2018), lips are made of skin that is soft
and delicate. As a result, they can easily crack and split under certain conditions.
Although it can be painful and bleed, splitting does not usually indicate a serious
problem. Nonetheless, this condition can be bothersome, so it is important to match
the right remedies for dry lips so it will heal as well as treating the symptoms. Paulo
(2013) suggests that lip balm is the most recommended remedy for dry lips. However,
many consumers absentmindedly purchase and use commercialized lip balms that
not only contain harmful ingredients, nor do nothing to protect and moisturize the lips.
That is why the proponents come up with the idea of creating a budget-friendly lip
balm named Glamorous Lips: Aloe Your Lips to Breathe! which is organic, made up
of all-natural ingredients, do not contain chemicals and other synthetic materials which
protects and relieves dry and chapped lips while locking in moisture to help them stay
healthy.
One of the major causes of dry lips is sun damage, considering that it is almost
summertime and the lips tend to become drier, dehydrated, and chapped more quickly

than the rest of the skin. The demand for lip balms increases during this time because
both men and women of all ages are in need of this product especially since the
Philippines is a tropical country and anyone could not avoid having direct contact with
the sun. However, the lip balm market is mainly focused on and used by women. It
can be seen from the packaging up to the variety of flavors and scents. But men do
not have exemptions to this problem, the reason why the proponents decided to
create two different flavors and scents of lip balm but have the same quality and
properties. The mint flavor was made for male customers. The scent of this mirrors
the masculinity of the user. Since mint has a strong taste and smell, it is good to use
the said ingredient as it depicts a mannish side. On the other hand, the sweet flavor,
a more feminine one, was made for female customers. The reason behind this is that
females are often inclined to scented stuff.
The lip balm product named “Glamorous Lips: Aloe Your Lips to Breathe!” is a
product designed by the proponents: Ms. Manansala, Ms. Manuel, Ms. Marquez, Ms.
Morales, and Mr. Nadungga for those people experiencing chapped and dry lips or
for those who want to moisturize and protect their lips for possible damage caused by
different factors. The physical store of our business is located at Villa Reina Building,
Valenzuela St., Bulihan, City of Malolos, Bulacan near La Consolacion University
Philippines Main Campus. You can also check/browse our products through online
platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Shopee, and Lazada.

Name of the Owners
The owners of this business have been classmates since Senior High School.
Having the same dream made them start their own business. They are five (5)
accountants, who took the risk to start all of this. Each and every one of them will have
their role to run the said business.
Yvonne Manuel. Yvonne started working abroad when she graduated, but since it’s
time of the pandemic she went home and agreed to start a business with her friends.
She’ll be the Finance Manager and will manage the expenses, incomes, and profits
of the online store since it’s her major.

Allaina Marie Morales. Ever since she was a kid, she already wanted to make a
business and of course with her favorite product, lip balm. She started planning to
build this business with her friends, and today that dream will be real. Allaina is the
one who will be the CEO of this business since this all started because of her. And as
promised, she will do her best in everything because failure is not in her mind. That’s
why she chose to build this with her friends.
Risha Marquez. One of the people who wants to be a CEO, and this business is one
of the ways to reach that dream. As the Production Manager, Risha will make sure
that every ingredient and material needed for the making of the product is 100% safe
and clean. It is her responsibility to check on everything that they will use in it.
Lawrence Gian Nadungga. Just like his other friends, he’s also an accountant who
promised to support everything his friends will do. That’s why he’s one of the
shareholders of this starting business. He already owns other businesses that’s why
it’s already easy for him to continue this. And Lawrence will be the Marketing Manager
for the business to be known and popular.
All of them will help each other in making this business reach its success. They
will promote this on every platform they know. And will make sure that every customer
will be satisfied with their said product.

producers within the country. This is done through the dedication of the proponents
to produce this kind of product. In line with these, it sets a mission to achieve to sell
all the products and generate income and budget to use for future productions.

Target Consumer
The primary target market of the product is the Senior High School students of
the La Consolacion University of the Philippines and probably those individuals near
the school, establishments, or offices as they are usually exposed to heat in need of
going outside for work or school. Since chapped and dry lips are rampant nowadays
and can be obtained by anyone, the product’s suggested age of users is those who
are in the age of 13 years old and above. Though the product can also be used by
those who are below 13 years old, the guidance of the parents is advised. The product
does not limit the gender of the customers who will use it. As long as the person is
capable of buying the product, both males and females can use it. Glamorous Lips is
serving two variants of lip balm that can be used by any of the two genders. The mint
flavor was made for male customers. The scent of this mirrors the masculinity of the
user. Since mint has a strong taste and smell, it is good to use the said ingredient as
it depicts a mannish side. On the other hand, the sweet flavor, a more feminine one,

Glamorous Lips production system is made up of seven procedures, as
previously stated. In terms of manufacturing a high-quality product, our suppliers,
production, separation of variations, quality inspection, packaging, output inspection,
and delivery should all strive for outstanding service. And, in order to be safer and
more efficient, this manufacturing process must incorporate technology
advancements. We are accountable for checking that our resources are proper and
complete, in order to generate and maintain the quality of our goods.

modern days local products are better and cheaper than those imported once, we
decided to buy from local stores to support and promote local products from the
Philippines.

and stimulating oil that is soothing and enlightening.

because of their high-quality products and also to support local

Materials to be requested, quantity of the products, its unit and price per unit,

address and name of both supplier and customer will be included. This form is used
to identify the exact orders and needs of the company. Also, how much will be the
cost of the raw materials they need.

- If consumers want to purchase the product, they can go to the physical store to
directly check what the product really is, its quality, and many more factors. As another
option to save more time and effort, they can order online, online shopping is really
easy now and accessible.
- Of course, a single item has many brands, and what consumers do is they are
comparing it. On what is better, what is wiser to be bought, and many factors.
- After comparing the products, consumers will make a choice if they will purchase it,
and then simply go on paying for it at the cashier.
- After the purchase, consumers always look for a receipt, and also if the given
exchange is right, and if the product was given nicely to you.

know what you’re selling price will be, based on each product’s cost per unit.

Income Statement
You can know how much is the income of the company without the expenses.
Subtracting the expenses from the revenue. Then compare the income statement for
each month and know if your business is doing good or not.
January income statement has a GPM of 44.23% while in February the GPM
is 64.31%. So, we can say that Glamorous Lips is doing good in generating revenue.
On the other hand, January has an OPM of 12.32% and February has 43.88%. We
can see that there’s a huge gap between the two months, which means the company’s
income by February is bigger than their income in January.

In these two income statements, February’s GPM is 64.31% and March’s GPM
is 70.10%. We can conclude that Glamorous Lips is improving every month in terms
of generating revenue by selling their product. In February’s OPM, 43.88% while
March had 53%. It says that the company is growing and making a good profit that
will continue to increase over the time that they operate.
