 are done in a very formal way


 usually done using questionaires where there is
both closed ended and open ended questions
 closed ended questions are simple and straight
forward questions that do not require long
explainations
 example can be do you eat rice? are you male
or female?

 open ended questions require further probe


 example can be explain why you like rice?
unstructured interviews

 done in an informay way


 usually has clueless
 the interviewer ask questions interviewee
depending on convinience or last response
 usually they occur without use of questionaires
rather use of interview guides
 they may also have closed ended and open
ended questions like structured ones
