Types of hypothesis are: =Simple hypothesis =Complex hypothesis =Directional hypothesis

=Non-directional hypothesis =Null hypothesis =Associative and Casual hypothesis

2. Describe the nature of hypothesis?

Written statement that can be tested –verifiable or falsifiable

3. In brief; Compare and contrast both hypothesis and theory.

A hypothesis is an assumption made before any research has been done. It is formed so that it

can be tested to see if it might be true. A theory is a principle formed to explain the things already

shown in data. Because of the rigors of experiment and control, it is much more likely that a

theory will be true than a hypothesis.

4. Provide examples for the following hypotheses:

a. Null hypothesis:

Null hypothesis is contrary to the positive statement of a working hypothesis. According to

null hypothesis there is no relationship between dependent and independent variable. It is
denoted by ‘Ho”.

b. simple hypothesis:

variable or cause and other is dependent variable or effect.
