DEBATE

FIRST SPEAKER
The use of cell phone has greatly
increased with the development of
technology. Because of this, my
teammates and I are in complete
agreement that cell phones should be
allowed in the classroom. I'm going to
make two points today. The first is that
1. CELLPHONES ARE USEFUL WHEN STUDYING
 There are lots of students who copy while not
listening to the teacher explaining, It might be
acceptable to the teacher if just one or two
students were doing this, but if we base it on
a real-life situation, nearly all of the students
copy while not paying attention to the teacher
teaching, forcing the teacher to explain it over
and over again. Do you think the teacher will
have the patience to go over their point with
every student? Because of this, cell phones
should be permitted in the classroom so that
students may simply take photos of the notes
and write them at home. They would be able
to have their lessons’ notes and knowledge
this way.

NOW, I WILL PROCEED TO THE SECOND POINT,

WHICH IS
2. CELLPHONES CAN BE USED FOR EMERGENCY
CASES THAT NEED EVIDENCE

 Cell phones can be utilized in emergency

situations where proof is required. In order to
further explain it, I'll use an example: If a fight
breaks out at school, you can grab your phone
and record it. Given that there are security
cameras around, you might be confused as to
why you should capture the incident. Well,
school fights typically take place in concealed,
private spaces like comfort rooms, which lack
security cameras. If there is no video of the
fight, will there be any proof? No, then you
could merely use the video you took as
evidence if you were caught up in the fight
and were questioned.
