Brigada Eskwela 2023

August 14 to 19, 2023

Introduction:

The annual Brigada Eskwela, a nationwide initiative designed to prepare schools for the
upcoming academic year, took place from August 14 to 19, 2023, with active participation from the
school community. This week-long event served as a remarkable demonstration of the collective spirit
of cooperation and volunteerism within our school.

Day 1: Commencement Program (Morning)

The inaugural day of Brigada Eskwela 2023 kicked off with a vibrant commencement program
on the morning of August 14th. The day commenced with a solemn prayer, led by Sir Jose Dellosa,
setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the week ahead. Following this, Ma’am Desiree P. Coloma, our
principal, delivered the opening address, expressing gratitude to all participants and emphasizing the
event's significance. The morning's highlight was an inspiring speech by our Guest Speaker, Ma’am
Grace C. Pille, who encouraged everyone to collaborate for the betterment of the school.

Day 1: Parental Engagement (Afternoon)

In the afternoon, parents, volunteers, and guardians took an active role in initiating the cleaning
process. They eagerly united to clear debris, organize materials, and prepare the school environment
for the students' return. Their dedication showcased the strong partnership between the school and the
community.

Day 2: Cleaning of Dump Site Area

On the second day, the focus shifted to environmental responsibility. Councilor Frederick
Mangao led the effort to clean the dump site area within the school. Participants diligently collected and
properly disposed of waste materials, ensuring the school grounds were free from clutter and potential

Day 3: Clearing Overgrown Grass Areas with Grass Cutter

Day three witnessed the efficient use of a grass cutter to maintain overgrown grassy areas
around the school premises. This initiative not only enhanced the school's visual appeal but also
improved safety by reducing hiding places for snakes, pests, and insects.

Day 4: Enhancement of Front Garden

The fourth day was dedicated to beautifying the front garden of Grade 7- Daffodil classroom.
Students, parents and volunteers worked tirelessly to plant flowers, shrubs, and ornamental plants. The
transformed garden area now serves as an inviting and welcoming space for all who enter the school.

Day 5: Thorough Classroom Cleaning

The fifth day focused on comprehensive cleanliness. Parents of Grade 7 - Daffodil engaged in
an extensive cleaning of the interior of our classroom. Walls, fans, and restroom were meticulously
cleaned and sanitized, creating a conducive and hygienic learning environment.

Day 6: Classroom Repainting (Saturday)

As the week drew to a close, the final day, a Saturday, was devoted to repainting classroom.
Parents and volunteers worked diligently to refresh the classroom with ivory color, making our
classroom more inviting and conducive to learning.

Conclusion:

Brigada Eskwela 2023 proved to be an outstanding success, thanks to the collective dedication
and efforts of the Grade 7-Daffodil parents and the wider school community. This event not only
enhanced the school's physical appearance but also strengthened the bond between the school,
parents, and the local community. It serves as a testament to what can be achieved when individuals
come together with a shared vision of providing a better educational experience for our students. As we
prepare to welcome our learners for the new academic year, we are confident that the positive changes
made during this event will have a lasting impact on their education and well-being.

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms.
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side,
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
