Reference above, the point wise reply of the raised observations from the end
of 8BN/RPSF/CRJ are as under:-
1. Not concerned to this battalion.
2. Not concerned to this battalion.
3. (i) Being the armed force of the union, RPF/RPSF have to perform duties in
crime prone areas/situations, where the public order is disturbed which may either
be in railway premises or in civil areas to assist local law enforcement agencies.
Purpose of force it is to show deterrent amongst the antisocial. The Royal Enfield
Bullet Motorcycle is commonly used by all Para Military Forces and State Police to
show the deterrent presence of force movement. This vehicle is capable to reach in
any difficult terrain too.

(ii) Royal Enfield Bullet Motorcycle is only two wheeler vehicle which educes
fear psychosis amongst the antisocial on being approached at the site of disturbed
areas by the force personal.

(iii) It is not only a powerful vehicle but also having a smooth and balanced
driving with excellent mechanical efficiency and endurance.

(iv) In addition to above as per force custom/decorum the Royal Enfield


Bullet Motorcycle is being used as decorative/ceremonial vehicle for various
ceremonial occasions VIZ Minister parade, DG parade, GM parade, DRM parade
and during the occasions where high dignitaries are being paid respect by the force.

(v) This vehicles has proved its worth during sports events, Bike rallies and
during other ceremonial occasions.

Hence, the PCME/ER and PCSC/ER/Kolkata gave approval for procurement


of 04 Nos Royal Infield (Bullet) in favour of 8BN/RPSF/CRJ.

As per norms committee report each battalion should have 07 nos of


motorcycle for smooth functioning of each coy & BN/HQr vide L.No. L/No.
2006/Sec (Spl.)/200/8(Pt.) dated 19.09.2007.

4. Staff on roll of 8BN/RPSF/CRJ is 610 in which SO’s 56 and other staff 554.

5. Not concerned to this battalion.


6. This battalion had 2 Nos motorcycle out of which (a) one no. pulsar registration
on 14.12.2005 has out lived its life and its registration is cancelled on 01.04.2023
and this motorcycle under process of condemnation.
(b) At present only one no. hero hunk available in this battalion and its date of
registration on 08.03.2011 and validity up to 06.03.2026.
7. Not concerned to this battalion.
