PART ONE SUMMARIZE

JY500B series belt scale adopts highest precision ∑ -Δ A/D conversion chip
and SCM with strong anti-jamming capability, the designer considered the
complexity in industrial field fully, designed with aborative software and
hardware, to make production and management to get a beneficial guarantee. This
product applied widely to measure and control industries, such as building
materials, chemical engineering, food, steel and mining.
For using this equipment safely and correctly, and fully exerting the function
of this equipment, please read this manual in detail before using this equipment.
1.1 Main Functions and Characteristics

1.3 Cautions in Use

※ Please don't open this equipment no metter it is power-on or power-off, so as
not to endanger your body safety or bring damage to this equipment.
※ Please install this equipment indoors, or it may be caused to short circuit while
it is raining.
※ Don't cut in or pull out the plugs from the backboard of the equipment, or
replace an insurance tube or a sensor when it is powered up.
※ The cable of sensor should be as short as possible, and should be kept off
other power cables and control wires to avoid possible jamming.

※ This equipment must be connected to the ground, and make sure all
connections are correct, firm and credible before being powered up.
※ Please don't use the same power cable(include the ground wire) or power plug
between this equipment and other electricity equipments, so as not to affect
the functions of this equipment.
※ Please don't press or knock the keyboard of the equipment heavily or in
disorder, so as not to bringing damage to this equipments.
※ Non-members of Longxin Company or other qualified personnel, don't
calibrate this equipment or set parameters, otherwise doing these will effect it
to work normally.
※ If this equipment is idle, it must be powered up at least once each month, and
more than an hour each time to drive out its internal moisture.
※ This equipment can't be cleaned with the strong sour or the strong alkali, or
the organic solvents like hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, so as not to damage
the chassis, the panel and the internal components of the equipment.
※ We won't accept that repairing or modifying this equipment by yourself. If the
equipment goes wrong, please solve the problems according to this manual or
contact us, otherwise you will lose the right of after-sales service.

PART THREE BASIC PARAMETERS SETTING

Chang the parameters in the menu. If the password is activated at this time (not all
zero, reload default parameters will be cleaned), it will appear password inputting
dialog box (please read PART NINE), you can chang the parameters after
inputting the correct password. The following operations is base on the situations
that inputting the correct password or the password is unneed.
3.1 Zeropoint Setting

Press key after powering up, it displays SET PARAMETERS menu.
Press key when it is in SET PARAMETERS menu, it displays

ZEROPOINT menu.
Press key if you need to change zeropiont, then a small numberic LED
flashes, it means you can change the number, then press key the next left
numberic LED will flash. Then press key or key to add or minuse
the flashing number. Press key to acknowledge, or press key to

cancel. Change other parameters are as the same with above, it will be not
introduced as follow.
The default value of zeropoint is 5000, the rang of zeropoint is 0~59999.
3.2 Span Setting

Press key when it is in ZERO menu, it displays SPAN menu.
The default value of span is 100000, the rang of span is 0~99999999.
3.3 Speed Mode Selection

Press key when it is in SPAN menu, it displays SPEED menu.
Press key if you need to change speed mode, then all small numberic
LEDs flash, then press key or key to choose simulated
( ) or extanal ( ) speed mode. Press key to
acknowledge, or press key to cancel.
The default value of speed mode is external, the rang of speed mode is simulated
and external.

3.4 Flux Unit Selection

Press key when it is in SPEED menu, it displays FLUX UNIT menu.
Press key if you need to change flux unit, then the small numberic LEDs
flash, then press key or key to choose t/h ( ), kg/h ( )
or kg/s ( ). Press key to acknowledge, or press key to cancel.
The default value of flux unit is t/h, the rang of flux unit is t/h, kg/h and kg/s.
3.5 Max. Flux Setting

Press key when it is in FLUX UNIT menu, it displays MAX. FLUX menu.
The default value of max. flux is 100.0, the rang of max. flux is 0~9999999.9.
3.6 Display Delay Setting

Press key when it is in MAX. FLUX menu, it displays DISPLAY DELAY
menu.

The default value of display delay is 3, the rang of display delay is 0~59999.
3.7 Weight Unit Selection

Press key when it is in DISPLAY DELAY menu, it displays WEIGHT
UNIT menu.
The default value of weight unit is t ( ), the rang of weight unit is t ( ) and kg
( ).
3.8 Decimal Setting

Press key when it is in WEIGHT UNIT menu, it displays DECIMAL menu.

The default value of decimal bit is 1 (right four numberic LEDs diplay ),
the rang of decimal bit is 0~3 (right four numberic LEDs diplay ,
, and respectively).
3.9 Pulse Width Setting

Press key when it is in DECIMAL menu, it displays PULSE WIDTH menu.
The default value of pulse width (unit: ms) is 100, the rang of pulse width is
0~59999.
3.10 Number of Belt Cycle Setting

Press key when it is in PULSE WIDTH menu, it displays NUMBER OF
BELT CYCLE menu.

The default value of number of belt cycle is 1, the rang of number of belt cycle is
0~99.
3.11 Time of Belt Cycle Setting

Press key when it is in NUMBER OF BELT CYCLE menu, it displays
TIME OF BELT CYCLE menu (unit: s).
The default value of time of belt cycle is 30, the rang of time of belt cycle is
0~59999.
3.12 Belt Length Setting

Press key when it is in TIME OF BELT CYCLE menu, it displays BELT
LENGTH menu (unit: m).

The default value of belt length is 100.00, the rang of belt length is
1.00~999999.99.
3.13 Auto Zero Track Setting

Press key when it is in BELT LENGTH menu, it displays AUTO ZERO
TRACK menu.
The default value of auto zero track is off ( ), the rang of auto zero track is
off ( ) and on ( ).
When auto zero track is on, if the value that A/D value minuse zeropoint is in the
range of auto zero track, and the time the value keeps is bigger than time of belt
cycle (the belt keeps running and it is in the main menu at this time), zeropoint
will be reset. When it is tracking zeropoint, the first big numberic LED will flash
as .
3.14 Auto Zero Track Rang Setting

Press key when it is in AUTO ZERO TRACK menu, it displays ZERO

TRACK RANG menu.
The default value of zero track rang is 5%, the rang of zero track rang is 0%~99%.
3.15 Flux Dead Zone Setting

Press key when it is in ZERO TRACK RANG menu, it displays FLUX
DEAD ZONE menu.
The default value of flux dead zone is off ( ), the rang of flux dead zone is
off ( ) and on ( ).
When flux dead zone is on, if the real-time flux is smaller than the value that max.
flux multiply flux dead zone rang, then the flux tracks to zero.
3.16 Flux Dead Zone Rang Setting

Press key when it is in FLUX DEAD ZONE menu, it displays FLUX
DEAD ZONE RANG menu.

The default value of flux dead zone rang is 5%, the rang of flux dead zone rang is
0%~99%.

PART FOUR CALIBRATION

The equipment must be calibrated when it is used for the first time, and belt length
and time of belt cycle must be known before calibration. Input the parameters in
SET PARAMETERS menu, and input number of belt cycle.
4.1 Test Cycle Calibration

Press twice in main menu, it displays CALIBRATION menu.
Press key when it is in CALIBRATION menu, it displays TEST CYCLE

CALIBRATION menu.
Press key when it is in TEST CYCLE CALIBRATION menu, then it asks

whether to start test cycle calibration.

Make sure the belt is running steadily at max. speed at this time, then press
key to start, it displays as follow.
The upper line displays the remain time and the lower displays the amounts of the
pulses that has been checked by the equipment. When calibration has been
completed, press key to save the amounts of the pulses. Press key
to cancel saving the data if the belt runs unsteadily during calibration. Please do
calibration at least thrice if it is the first calibration, if it is not the first calibration
and the belt speed and length are unchanged, you can do zero calibration and span
calibration directly.
4.2 Zero Calibration

Press key when it is in TEST CYCLE CALIBRATION menu, it displays
ZERO CALIBRATION menu.

Press key when it is in ZERO CALIBRATION menu, then it asks whether

to start zero calibration.
Make sure the belt is running steadily at max. speed at this time, then press
key to start, it displays as follow.
The upper line displays the remain time and the lower displays the accumulation.
When calibration has been completed, it displays as follow.

The upper line displays the new zeropoint and the lower displays the error. Then
press key to save the new zeropoint, press key to cancel.
4.3 Span Calibration

Press key when it is in ZERO CALIBRATION menu, it displays SPAN
CALIBRATION menu.
Press key to select analog salibration or material salibration when it is in

SPAN CALIBRATION menu, the span calibration mode can be switched via
pressing key or key.

4.3.1 Analog Calibration

If you select analog calibration mode (it is suitabe for chain calibration and weight
calibration), then after pressing key, it displays as follow.
Press key to start, it displays as follow.
The upper line displays the remain time and the lower displays the accumulation.
When calibration has been completed, it displays as follow.

The upper line displays the actual accumulation. Then input the actual weight in
the lower line via pressing key, key and key, for an example,
input 8.700, it displays as follow.
Then press key, it displays as follow.
The upper line displays the error and the lower displays new span.
4.3.2 Material Calibration

If you select material calibration mode, then after pressing key, it displays
as follow.

Let the belt run at this time, then load the material on the belt, it displays as follow.
The upper line displays the real-time flux and the lower displays the accumulation.
Press key when the material goes across the load cell, then it displays as
follow.
The upper line displays the actual accumulation. Then input the actual weight in
the lower line via pressing key, key and key, for an example,
input 8.700, it displays as above. Press key to save or press key
to cancel.

PART FIVE COMMUNICATION SETTING

There is only one protocol -- modbus protocol in this equipment, please consult
PART TEN.
5.1 Baud Rate Setting
Press key thrice in main menu, it displays SET COMMUNICATION menu.
Press key when it is in SET COMMUNICATION menu, it displays BAUD

menu.
The default value of baud rate is 9600, the rang of baud rate is 4800, 9600, 19200,
38400.
5.2 Address Setting

Press key when it is in BAUD menu, it displays ADDRESS menu.

The default value of address is 1, the rang of address is 0~255.
5.3 Data Format Setting

Press key when it is in ADDRESS menu, it displays DATA FORMAT
menu.
The default value of data format is 8n1, the rang of data format is 8n1, 8n2, 8o1,
8o2.
5.4 Time Printing Setting

Press key when it is in DATA FORMAT menu, it displays TIME
PRINTING menu.

The default value of time printing is off, the rang of time printing is off, on.
Press key when it is in TIME PRINTING menu, it displays TIME 1 FOR
PRINTING menu.
The format of time is HH-MM-SS. There are four times (default: 00-00-00) for
printing in all. When time printing mode is on, if you just need to print the report
once a day, please set time 1~time 4 as the same. If you just need to print the
report twice a day, please set time 2~time 4 as the same. If you just need to print
the report thrice a day, please set time 3~time 4 as the same.
If you want to print the report at any time, please press key in main menu
(it has not to do with time printing mode).

PART SIX CLEAN TOTALIZATION

Press key four times in main menu, it displays CLEAN TOTALIZATION
menu.
Press key if you want to clean totalization, then it displays as follow.
Press key to confirm, then it displays as follow and returns to main menu.

PART SEVEN LOAD DEFAULT PARAMETERS

Press key five times in main menu, it displays LOAD DEFAULT
PARAMETERS menu.
Press key if you want to load default parameters, then it displays as follow.
Press key to confirm, then it displays as follow and returns to main menu.
Warning: the parameters you have set before in the equipment will be lost
can’’t be used till you
after loading default parameters, then the eqiupment can
input the parameters before and do all calibrations.

PART EIGHT CHANGE TIME

Press key six times in main menu, it displays CHANGE TIME menu.
Press key to change the time, it displays as follow.
The format of time is HH-MM-SS. Change the time with key, key
and key. Press key to confirm, or press key to cancel, then it
displays DATE menu.
The format of date is YY-MM-DD. Change the date with key, key
and key. Press key to confirm, or press key to cancel.

PART NINE CHANGE PASSWORD

Press key seven times in main menu, it displays CHANGE PASSWORD
menu.
Press key to enter the old password (default: 000000) interface.
Inputing the number of one numberic LED, then press key to switch the
numberic LEDs, and the number you just input will be shielded at the same time,
it displays 0 instead. When you input the correct password, press key to
enter the new password interface.

PART TEN CONTROLATION SETTING

10.1 Analog Current Setting
Press key in main menu, it displays CONTROLATION menu.
Press key when it is in CONTROLATION menu, it displays ANALOG

(flux) CURRENT menu.
The default value of analog current is 4~20 mA, the rang of analog current is 0~20
mA, 4~20 mA.
10.2 Control Current Setting

Press key when it is in ANALOG (flux) CURRENT menu, it displays
CONTROL CURRENT menu.

0~20 mA, 4~20 mA.
10.3 Flux Setting

Press key when it is in CONTROL CURRENT menu, it displays FLUX
SETTING menu.
The default value of flux is 100.0, the rang of flux is 0~9999999.9.
10.4 Flux Controling Mode Setting

Press key when it is in FLUX SETTING menu, it displays FLUX
CONTROLING MODE menu.

The default value of flux controling mode is auto ( ), the rang of flux

10.5 Coefficient P Setting

Press key when it is in FLUX CONTROLING MODE menu, it displays
COEFFICIENT P menu.
The default value of coefficient P is 50, the rang of coefficient P is 0~99.
10.6 Coefficient I Setting

Press key when it is in COEFFICIENT P menu, it displays COEFFICIENT
I menu.

10.7 Coefficient D Setting

Press key when it is in COEFFICIENT I menu, it displays COEFFICIENT
D menu.

10.8 Flux Controling

Press key when it is in COEFFICIENT D menu, it displays FLUX
CONTROLING menu.

The default value of flux controling is stop ( ), the rang of flux
controling is stop ( ), start ( ) and (it is max.
flux and is used for calibration)
10.9 High Flux Alarm

Press key when it is in FLUX CONTROLING menu, it displays HIGH
FLUX ALARM menu.
The default value of high flux alarm is 120%, the rang of high flux alarm is
0~200%
10.10 Low Flux Alarm

Press key when it is in HIGH FLUX ALARM menu, it displays LOW
FLUX ALARM menu.

PART ELEVEN MODBUS PROTOCOL

MODBUS is a network protocol of Main-Sub format. This equipment adopts hex
RTU format and is as a slave to call by the PC or host.
And the JY500B2 controller adopts CCITT-16/N (G(x)=x16+x13+1) to check
sum.

If the register address of sending to the equipment is error or CRC check is wrong,
no data will return from the equipment.
e.g.
We know the address of totalization is 9C59H. For an example, totalization =
100.84. In fact, the data type of totalization is long integer, it is 2764H with hex
format, and the value of decimal is 2. If the address of the equipment is 1, then the
read command and the respond from the equipment are as follow.

When the data is transmiting, the high byte is front and the low byte is back.
e.g.
If the flux I want to set is 100 (float format), at first we know the address of
setting flux is 9C4EH, then we know the four-byte format of 100 is 42C80000H,
so sending data is as follow:

If the data the equipment receives is correct, then the equipment will answer from
the high byte to the low byte of register and checkout. The data is as follow:

When setting address is over the range or not existent, the function code that the
equipment responds will return 90H instead of 10H. And the data order is from
the first-byte to the low byte of register and checkout.
