1 SCOPE
This procedure describes the requirements for the operation of vehicles to ensure the vehicles are
operated in such a way as to prevent accidents, incidents, equipment breakdowns as well as to
provide safety transportation, vehicles, and mobile equipment a system to manage the driving
safety of its workers during the execution of contract work in Lumut Balai2 site.
3 RESPONSIBILITY
Consortium and its subcontractors shall ensure each vehicle is in compliance with contract
requirements, each driver is competent and qualified as required and conduct safe driving
behavior.
The driver must have met the legal requirements for driving (there is a valid SIM & STNK).
The Driver must undergo Medical Check-Up, and the Medical Check-Up report must be
validated by Consortium and PGE medical professional.
5 VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
All the vehicles shall be in compliance with the technical requirements specified in the PGE
Health Safety Security and Environment Guidelines.
All the vehicles must have the legally required certificate for driving.
The vehicles shall be inspected by Consortium HSSE prior entry to site and be issued an
equipment sticker after pass the inspection.

6 SPEED LIMIT
Speed limit shall be implemented in Lumut Balai2 project area. If there are no signs, the maximum
speed limit is as follows,
10 km / hour
20 km / hour
The vehicle shall be inspected prior entry to site and inspected daily during the project. See the
Appendix 1 for the Vehicle Inspection Checklist.
Site general driving safety regulations shall be followed by all the Consortium employees and any
other party or person entering the site.
All drivers must be duly qualified for the vehicle or equipment that is driven or operated.
Do not park on the road or the access, and reverse park in the designated area only.

Heavy vehicles driving backwards always have to be guided by a person and equipped with a
sound alarm.
9 TRAINING
The training shall be conducted to drivers in the project on the aspect of driving safety rules and
also Defensive Driving.
