ELIGIBILITY AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

▪ Applications are accepted from candidates (female or male) who intend to


pursue the MS degree or Ph.D. degree.
▪ A four-year Bachelor’s (B.S.) Degree in Chemical Engineering.
▪ A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent.
▪ Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or
70 (IBT).
▪ IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0).
▪ Two letters of recommendation, preferably from the faculty who taught the
applicant university-level courses.
▪ A statement of purpose.

ENGLISH IS THE LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION AT KFUPM


▪ In case you cannot take the TOEFL or IELTS test in your home country, you
are still eligible for conditional acceptance. Once you reach KFUPM, you
have to meet English language requirements before the second semester.
