SESSION PREPARATION

MATERIALS:
● Student’s book pages 42 – 43.
● Workbook’s page 28 – 29.
● Flashcards
● Worksheets.
● Scissors and glue.
OPENING: (5 minutes)
The teacher welcomes the class, and the students say “Good morning” back. Then, the teacher writes down the date on the board. Finally, the teacher calls the attendance.

SET THE SCENE / MOTIVATION / WARM UP (5 minutes)


T presents a game called “Anais says” where the S have to repeat all the teacher says and does.

Example: Anais says “look at the door” and S have to do that.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE (8 minutes)


T paste a picture with a pizza and ask “What’s it?”. T encourages to predict the shape:“it’s circle” “it’s triangle”.

PRESENTATION (10 minutes)


T presents a video related to the topic: https://youtu.be/lcl8uB2AWM0. Next, T shows the flashcards about the shapes, then teacher encourages Ss to repeat the correct
pronunciation of each part saying, “It’s a circle”. After that, T points out each colours and exalt the structure: it’s a red circle”.

COGNITIVE CONFLICT (10 minutes)

T pastes the flashcards of shapes on the board and asks them to search for a similar object around the classroom and say aloud the shape and colour. T invites maximum 5
volunteers to participate.

Example: It’s a blue rectangle.

PURPOSE:
Identify the shapes and colours.

DEVELOPMENT
CONTROLLED PRACTICE (15 minutes)
S have to open the workbook on page 28 and do the first activity according to the text of page 43 of the sudent’s book. The next activity, they have to complete the conversation. Later, on the
page 29 they have to read and match. Finally, they have to trace and draw the shapes.

SEMI CONTROLLED PRACTICE (10 minutes)


Sts have to listen to the teacher a colour according to what she says.
FREE PRACTICE (15 minutes)
Students have to look the shapes and draw a similar object.
